Rossinavi unveiled a new concept for yacht design targeted at millennials. Research by the International University of Monaco found that the average age of superyacht owners will drop from 45-55 to 35-45 in the next 20 years. Rossinavi's new designs incorporate the preferences of millennials, including versatile spaces, emphasis on technology, safety features, and modern exterior and interior aesthetics. Three new yacht designs were presented: the 53-meter Attitude inspired by lobster boats with expansive windows; the 42-meter Project I-Tron with a futuristic design; and the conceptual Mark 48 designed for an unprecedented onboard lifestyle.

This document provides an overview of Royal Caribbean International's strategy in Italy. Some key points:
- The Italian cruise market is growing but remains highly fragmented. Royal Caribbean aims to target "active socializers" aged 25-54.
- Main competitors Costa and MSC have majority market share due to being Italian brands and aggressive pricing.
- Royal Caribbean has invested heavily in Italy but profitability lags other markets due to high acquisition costs.
- A reorganization in 2013 led to cuts in marketing/sales and general & administrative spending in Italy to improve performance.
- The document proposes an investment in a startup called Inoxsail that is developing innovative sailing technologies, including a self-adjusting fin called Phinna and boats built with thin titanium sandwich hulls.
- If funded, the startup aims to register patents, partner with shipyards to produce and install the technologies, set up production facilities, expand internationally, and build a display boat to showcase the innovations.
- The requested funding of €1.95 million would allow the startup to achieve key milestones like reaching profitability within two years and establishing a presence in global sailing markets.

The document discusses an exhibition of works by Italian artist Alberto Biasi at GR gallery in New York. It describes Biasi as a pioneer of kinetic and programmed art through his founding of the N Group in Italy in the 1960s. Biasi discusses his early kinetic works that required viewer interaction and his later works using motors and light prisms to create constantly changing visual effects. Biasi believes future art will increasingly incorporate electronic media but that art will always allow new perspectives to be seen.
Alberto Biasi is an Italian artist who helped pioneer Kinetic and Op Art. In the 1960s, he co-founded the avant-garde group Gruppo N, which focused on exploring the optical and physical possibilities of art. Biasi's current exhibition at a New York gallery gives viewers a chance to experience his dizzying artworks firsthand. In an interview, Biasi discusses how Gruppo N was formed, how his dynamic artworks require viewer participation to be activated, and how he finds inspiration from nature and his own prior works. While new art movements have emerged, Biasi feels the art world has changed little and often recycles existing ideas.

1. YACHTINVESTOR
Yachts&Yards
Yachts & Yards Yacht Yard www.yachtinvestor.com 45°
Every first week of December doesn’t bring any
snow flurries to Miami Beach but a deluge of
cultural events and activities for every manner
of taste and depth of pocket. Spearheaded by
the behemoth Art Basel Miami, myriads of large
and small satellite art fairs offer a unique view
on the international, mostly primary, art market.
Alongside the Art Basel fairs, Design Miami/
brings together the most influential collectors,
gallerists, designers, curators and critics from
around the world in celebration of design culture
and commerce. On November 29, 2016, under
the umbrella of Design Miami/, Italian shipyard
Rossinavi revealed a breakthrough design
category: Yacht Design for Millennials.
First in the world to consider this
demographic, Rossinavi’s new design concept
was developed using up-to-date research by the
International University of Monaco (IUM) and
gives compelling evidence for appealing to this
segment of the market. The research by IUM finds
that the median age of superyacht owners will shift
from 45-55 to 35-45 in the next twenty years.
To discuss this intriguing new project, I met
with Rossinavi COO Federico Rossi at Design
Miami/.
EZ: Why did Rossinavi decide to explore this
new segment of the market?
FR: As reported by Yachting International, one
of the primary reasons for the yachting sector to
fare better than others is that the population of
Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals is still growing.
SUPERYACHTS FOR
MILLENNIALSArt Advisor Eva Zanardi talks to Rossinavi’s COO Federico Rossi about their newest breakthrough
design concept: Yacht Design for Millennials which was unveiled during the 2016 Design Miami/.
Worldwide, there are an estimated 82,000 people
with a combined fortune exceeding 50 million Euro.
Among them are an estimated 1,226 billionaires
(480 billionaires in the United States and 147
billionaires in China). A remarkable 20 percent of
the top 100 billionaires are under the age of 50,
and indeed, yacht owners are getting younger. On
average, owners are 10 to 15 years younger than
two decades ago.
EZ: Why do you think Rossinavi is a better match
for the millennial clientele than other builders of
custom superyachts?
FR: Compared to the competition, Rossinavi
is uniquely positioned to design yachts with
Millennials in mind; despite being a young brand
that works with young designers, Rossinavi is a
highly reputable shipyard with an experienced team.
EZ: Can you talk about IUM’s analysis of the
Millennial market and Rossinavi’s strategy to
accommodate this new market’s segment needs?
FR: Sure. In May 2016, Rossinavi teamed up with
IUM to develop a project focused on analysing
the Millennial market to better understand what
Millennials look for in a yacht. These are the key
findings:
Technology plays a key role for Millennials-
Rossinavi’s answer will be to rethink navigation,
entertainment and automation systems
Safety is a priority for the Millennial market –
Rossinavi will include top-of-the line safety features
and navigation systems.
Exterior and interior design aesthetics are
important– Rossinavi will design its superyacht’s
exterior and interior design reflecting Millennials
multifaceted sharing and value-driven lifestyle.
Millennials prefer versatile spaces – Rossinavi
has revolutionised the traditional layout, with
spaces being seamless and versatile to allow for
flexible usage.
EZ: How about sustainability? Do you
participate in the Green Star Program (a
green building rating program in use in some
parts of Europe, Japan, Australia and South
Africa)?
FR: Rossinavi strives for excellence in every field. All
our vessels are Green Star certified.
EZ: Could you briefly illustrate the models,
sketches and drawings of three new yachts
presented at Design Miami/ 2016?
FR: Absolutely! Let’s start with the largest vessel,
the Attitude. Designed in collaboration with
Carlo Colombo and Paolo Colombo (Italy) of
Architectural Studio A++, Attitude (53 metres) is
Rossinavi’s interpretation of a classic lobster boat,
with a new generation of performance capabilities
and high-level superyacht standard features.
The boat is unique to other motor yachts on the
market today in that it has large, far-reaching
windows, which provide unobstructed views of
the water and vistas. One of the most striking
features of Attitude is its semi-submerged beach
club, which includes a teak-finished sunbathing
area in front of a submerged swim platform.
The next design is Project I-Tron, a slightly
smaller 42 metre vessel with the characteristics of
a sports yacht. The concept for Project I-Tron is a
result of the vision of exterior superyacht designer
Chulhun Park (South Korea) and interior designer
Francesca Romana Treleani (Italy). A signature of
Park’s design aesthetic, the vessel features a vivid
blue curve line extending from the bridge of the
yacht to the bow. Its interior design incorporates
futuristic elements and lighting. Project I-Tron’s
beach club which has a fantastic private pool with
a glass bottom, providing stunning underwater
views.
The last one and maybe the most futuristic of
them all is Mark 48, designed by J. David Weiss
(U.S.A) of Designova. Still in its developmental
stage, the design of Mark 48 will allow for a truly
new and exceptional lifestyle on board, with a set
of experiences and actions possible for the first
time. As the project develops, designer J. David
Weiss will expand the features of Mark 48 beyond
any vessel available on the market today through
research and exploration with their new millennial
clientele across markets worldwide.
EZ: Thank you Federico, I am looking forward to
see these amazing new designs for superyachts
brought to life by Rossinavi. The future of
superyachts has never been more exciting.
ABOUT ROSSINAVI
The Rossinavi brand was founded in 2007 upon
the legacy of expert welders Fratelli Rossi (Rossi
Brothers) who had established a reputation for
high-quality metal construction of fishing boat
hulls from 1980. This expertise has allowed
Rossinavi to maintain a level of quality that sees
each ship crafted entirely in-house, at their
shipyard in Viareggio. Today, after launching
several luxury yachts from 40-70 metres in
length, and with several in production, the
shipyard enjoys growing recognition for its
rapid ascent into the market and its ongoing
position as the onlyfamily-owned-and-operated
superyacht company in Italy.
