You are going to be creating an
Artist board researching Artists
that use Natural Forms.
You are also going to be
experimenting with different
medias using pencil, paint and
print.
Natural forms are objects in nature in their
original form.
• Examples…
• Leaves, flowers, pine cones, seaweed,
shells, bones, insects, stones, fossils,
crystals, feathers, birds, fish, animals – in
fact anything you can find in nature –
complete or part of it.
The first Artist you
need to research
should be an Artist
who works primarily
with paint. You are
going to create your
own transcription in
addition to finding out
facts and adding your
opinions on their work
http://www.pinterest.com/beaumontart/
First task: go onto the Beaumont Art Pinterest and click on the
Natural Form Artist Album. Find an Artist that you like who uses
paint. Research the Artist print out information and a few good
quality images of their work (at least A5 size)
You will have next week as well
to complete your painting so
take your time! This will count
towards your GCSE! Please
make sure you have drawn at
least the outline for next week!
You will be presenting
your work on an A1
board like the one to
the right. For next
week can you bring in
£2 to pay for this.
The second Artist you
need to research
should be an Artist who
works primarily in
Mono-chrome. You are
going to create your
own transcription in
addition to finding out
facts and adding your
opinions on their work.
-Fully complete your painting
transcription and print out facts
about your chosen Artist
-Choose a Monochrome Natural
Forms Artist. Bring in good quality
large images and facts about the
Artist. You can use Beaumont Art
Pinterest to choose an Artist that
works in Black an White (use Year 10 Art-
Natural Forms or Black and White Artist albums)
The third Artist you
need to research should
be an Artist who works
primarily with print. You
are going to create your
own transcription in
addition to finding out
facts and adding your
opinions on their work.
-Fully complete your monochrome
transcription and make sure you
have facts about ALL your chosen
Artists
-Choose an Artist’s work that will be
effective to monoprint. Bring in
good quality large images and facts
about the Artist. You can use
Beaumont Art Pinterest for ideas
(use Year 10 Art-Natural Forms,
Portrait Artists or the Illustration
Artist albums)
-Fully complete your
printmaking transcription
and make sure you have
facts about your chosen
Artist
-Complete writing on all
three Artists in rough using
the ‘How to Write about
Artists’ sheet.
Make sure your writing is
checked and you present
your work thoughtfully and
carefully. This is the first
work that will go towards
your Art GCSE!
