Street food started in Asia, is massive in
America, and now Europe is getting a taste of
the action too, especially here in the UK.
Street food is ready-to-eat food or drink sold
in a street or other public place, such as at a
market or fair. It is often sold from a
portable food booth or ‘pop up shop’, and meant
for immediate consumption. Some street foods
are regional, but many have spread beyond their
region of origin. Most street foods are classed
as both fast food which is healthier, and are
cheaper on average than restaurant meals.
3. Today, people may purchase
street food for a number of
reasons, such as to get
flavourful food for a
reasonable price in a
sociable setting, to
experience ethnic and
cultural cuisine, or for
nostalgia.
The want for Street food is
increasingly popular and in
the UK and the market is
booming. This is an
exciting brief that
requires you to be creative
in an expanding business
and incorporate you
creative graphics skills
into producing highly
creative outcomes.
