The document discusses the target audience for a film. Based on secondary research from the UK Film Council, the target audience is defined as women under 35, men over 35 without children, mainly from upper or lower class. This provides a broad target spectrum. Research also showed interest in dramas was 35% of audiences. The selected demographic suits the film as those ages commonly have strong views on related subjects. The film targets older viewers from 16-52 years old of either gender. It is difficult to target a specific gender as the film includes children and drama, but statistics show females may be more suited. The main target is an educated audience, which allows darker topics and pushing boundaries that mainstream audiences may find too much.
The document discusses empowering customer-facing workers through improved access to information, streamlined workflows, and better communication technologies. It notes that 89% of such workers feel there is a gap between the experience they can deliver and what customers want, due to challenges like poor information access, inefficient processes and outdated technology. The document argues that by addressing these challenges through measures like improved document and process support, businesses can enable more personalized customer service and differentiate themselves.
The situation of the basic income movement has evolved a lot recently. These slides presented at a conference in Berlin attempt to summarize the situation in France in 2013.

Canadian sustainability indicators (dimou, upward) (final v3.3)Antony Upward
This document discusses accounting for sustainability in Canada. It defines sustainability, the economy, and accounting/measurement in this context. Several sustainability indexes are reviewed that measure environment, equity, economics, and intergenerational impacts. However, gaps still exist in determining specific sustainability goals. GDP is still widely used due to delays in implementing alternative measures and closing measurement gaps. The recommendation is to select an index that considers all dimensions of sustainability, set goals based on it, and implement policies to continuously measure and improve progress over time.
This research – based on 100+ survey responses, 12 depth interviews, and analysis of nearly 200 other Hubs – provides the starting point for understanding Europe’s Creative Hubs. It sets out who they are, what they do, and what support they need.
This document provides an overview of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneur. It discusses current trends in entrepreneurship globally and increasing presence of micro and small-to-medium enterprises. The document defines entrepreneurship and the entrepreneur, exploring different theories. It examines why entrepreneurship is important for economic growth and development. Different types of entrepreneurship are outlined, as well as how entrepreneurship develops at both the social and individual level. Barriers to entrepreneurship and ways national policies can support entrepreneurship through programs and improving access to finance are also summarized.
This document summarizes a seminar discussing implications for Scotland in a post-2015 and post-referendum era. It outlines the post-2015 development framework process at the UN and EU levels, including proposed sustainable development goals. It also discusses trends in development finance and opportunities for Scotland to engage internationally on policy coherence for development, as well as domestically to help achieve post-2015 targets on issues like inequality and poverty.
The document discusses the achievements and future challenges of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL). It outlines how ENoLL contributes to innovation in Europe by facilitating cooperation between its members and aiming to converge technologies like the Future Internet and smart cities. It also discusses ENoLL's globalization efforts to foster international collaboration through networks in regions like Brazil, Africa, and China in order to help solve global challenges.

This document summarizes the work of the OECD's Inclusive Growth Initiative. It established a multidimensional framework to measure inclusive growth that accounts for income as well as non-income factors like employment and health. Between 2012-2014, the initiative delivered reports applying this framework and identifying policy areas that can boost both growth and inclusiveness. Going forward, it will refine the methodology, integrate inclusive growth analysis across policy sectors, and conduct national and regional case studies to strengthen the evidence base and mainstream inclusive growth policymaking.
AHMR is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed online journal created to encourage and facilitate the study of all aspects (socio-economic, political, legislative and developmental) of Human Mobility in Africa. Through the publication of original research, policy discussions and evidence research papers AHMR provides a comprehensive forum devoted exclusively to the analysis of contemporaneous trends, migration patterns and some of the most important migration-related issues.
This report explores the significance of border towns and spaces for strengthening responses to young people on the move. In particular it explores the linkages of young people to local service centres with the aim of further developing service, protection, and support strategies for migrant children in border areas across the region. The report is based on a small-scale fieldwork study in the border towns of Chipata and Katete in Zambia conducted in July 2023. Border towns and spaces provide a rich source of information about issues related to the informal or irregular movement of young people across borders, including smuggling and trafficking. They can help build a picture of the nature and scope of the type of movement young migrants undertake and also the forms of protection available to them. Border towns and spaces also provide a lens through which we can better understand the vulnerabilities of young people on the move and, critically, the strategies they use to navigate challenges and access support.
The findings in this report highlight some of the key factors shaping the experiences and vulnerabilities of young people on the move – particularly their proximity to border spaces and how this affects the risks that they face. The report describes strategies that young people on the move employ to remain below the radar of visibility to state and non-state actors due to fear of arrest, detention, and deportation while also trying to keep themselves safe and access support in border towns. These strategies of (in)visibility provide a way to protect themselves yet at the same time also heighten some of the risks young people face as their vulnerabilities are not always recognised by those who could offer support.
In this report we show that the realities and challenges of life and migration in this region and in Zambia need to be better understood for support to be strengthened and tuned to meet the specific needs of young people on the move. This includes understanding the role of state and non-state stakeholders, the impact of laws and policies and, critically, the experiences of the young people themselves. We provide recommendations for immediate action, recommendations for programming to support young people on the move in the two towns that would reduce risk for young people in this area, and recommendations for longer term policy advocacy.
