TUNISIA – NEW CITY CENTRE FOR GABES
Project Brief : Design & Construction of a New City Centre.
Location : City of Gabes, region of Tunisia.
Project Description : New City Centre will cover an area of 200 hectares and will include amongst other things Shopping
Arcades, Multiple Storey Office Blocks, Hotels, Recreation Parks, Mosques, Multi Storey Apartment Blocks and related
utilities.
Project Cost : Est. Euro 400 million.
Finance required : 100 % funding backed by Sovereign Guarantee from Tunisian Government.
ON SITE IN GABES – TUNISA
UKRAINE – REHABILITATION & UPGRADING OF FUEL TRANSPORT CENTRE.
Project Brief : Rehabilitation & Upgrading of a large ex military Fuel Transfer Depot.
Location : Vinogradovo in the region of Zakarpatska Oblast in Ukraine.
Project Description : The Fuel Transfer Depot covers an area of 30 hectares and is close to the borders of Romania, Poland,
and Slovakia. It will eventually serve as Fuel and Dry Cargo transfer complex for fuel and goods from Russia into Romania,
Poland and Slovakia , onward down to European markets and vice versa. This Complex forms part of a large 1700 km Fuel
transfer pipeline, starting in Russia and crossing Ukraine down to Vinogradovo. This fuel transfer complex can fuel-up
simultaneously 600 road fuel tankers and 52 railway tankers. It has dual gauge railway tracks as well as large storage sheds
for dry cargo transfers. The Complex requires an initial rehabilitation program of up to Euro 10 mln to put the Complex in
operation to start generating revenue in a few months. Balance of funds will then be used for the upgrading of the
Complex with new equipment and technologies.
Project Cost : Euro 95 mln.
Finance Required : Joint Venture /Equity Participation preferred. Contribution by Sponsor Party amounts to Euro 25 mln,
being the value of the complex presently owned by Sponsor Company.
ON SITE IN LYVIV - UKRAINE
RUSSIA – SETTING UP OF SMALL AIRCRAFT ASSEMBLY PLANT.
Project Brief : Setting up of a small aircraft assembly plant for inter regional use.
Location : St Petersburg.
2. Project Description : The program relates to the setting up of an assembly plant for the assembly of small 2 – 4 seater
aircraft for inter regional use by various private or government agencies or Ministries, and is expected to include both
private companies and state agencies such as the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry
of Forestry Agencies, the Ministry of Agriculture and others. These aircraft will require no runway to land, have short take –
off and landing possibilities, will have non metallic bodies and very economical to run. The models intended are from an
established Canadian manufacturer with a strong proven record in providing kits for such aircraft assemblies. It is a type of
aircraft much needed in Russian, due to the large distances involved and lack of small regional airports.
Project Cost : Up to Euro 60 mln as a first stage based on the most economical size of plant as a first stage. If it is intended
to be inclusive of a fully equipped pilot training centre, then project cost inclusive of first stage set up will go up to Euro 90
mln.
Finance Required : 100% Funding. Credit Line , Loan Guarantee backed by preproduction confirmed sales contracts.
SITE VISIT TO ASSEMBLY PLANT AND TEST FLYING OF AIRCRAFT IN MOSCOW - RUSSIA
REPUBLIC OF S. OSSETIA – REHABILITATION OF THE MAIN LEAD & ZINC ORE MINE.
Project Brief : Rehabilitation of the main Lead & Zinc Ore Mine in Kvajsa, region of the Republic of S. Ossetia for the
Ministry of Economic Development.
Location : Kvajsa in the Republic Of South Ossetia.
Project Description : The Kvajsa Zinc & Lead Ore Mine forms an important element in the industrial and social framework
of the region, especially in relation to the employment opportunities it offered to the locals and the revenue generated
from this source. The mine has been closed since the Russian / Georgian political turmoil of the 2........ and is presently in
need of complete rehabilitation, both the mine itself and the ore processing plant nearby. This Zinc / Mine complex offers
great possibilities for future expansion.
Project Cost : Est. Euro 85 mln.
Finance Required : Credit Line, straightforward loan, Bank Guarantee facility or similar. All funding activity will be carried
out through leading Russian Bank/s and will carry guarantee for repayment by Russian Government. Joint Venture with
mining interests is also a possibility.
