Christmas traditions in France include eating a feast of roast turkey, foie gras, chestnuts, cheese and yule log on Christmas Eve. Some people attend mass in the evening of December 24th. Houses are decorated with tinsel and Christmas trees. On Christmas morning, people look for presents under the Christmas tree which is decorated with tinsel, stars and other ornaments. Families often celebrate separately on Christmas Day. In the days leading up to Christmas, some have an advent calendar with chocolates each day.
