It found that Chinese teachers were more intrinsically motivated, while American teachers were more likely to adopt surface learning strategies. Both groups favored kinesthetic learning styles, but American teachers had a minor preference for visual learning while Chinese teachers were strongly visual learners. The study used questionnaires to assess perceptual learning styles and study processes, and found some statistically significant differences between the groups.

This document summarizes a research study on Taiwanese students' adjustment to foreign teachers' teaching styles. The study aims to investigate Taiwanese students' perspectives on foreign teaching styles, how students adjust to different styles, and the influence of styles on learning attitudes. The researcher conducted a literature review on relevant topics like culture, academic culture, teaching styles, and learning styles. A mixed methods approach was used, with questionnaires distributed to 1000 students across six schools and interviews with 3 teachers and 3 students. Data was analyzed using SPSS and qualitative methods to understand students' experiences.

Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
