1. There were many things that I learned during Honors English 10 this year. In our Sophomore
year, one of the most important tests of the year was the 10th Grade Writing Test. To prepare for
this test, we had to learn how to properly organize a proper essay. Before this class, I was good at
writing essays, but I really feel that this class gave me the techniques required to write a well-
constructed essay. In fact, my favorite part of this class was the week-long WRITING
PALOOZA!!! I particularly enjoyed this time because it allowed the two classes to come
together, and permitted us to review helpful writing techniques.
Of course, this class was conducted alongside AP World History, and it was very fun to learn
how many connections there are between English and history. In class, we learned about so many
unique cultures, and read so many interesting stories that actually made me want to learn about
the history of whatever we were studying. I feel confident in saying that our English class really
influenced my interest in AP World History.
Finally, this course really helped me in developing myself as a high school student. The projects
that were assigned over the year were all fun, and each required me to go to new measures to
create a new and interesting projects. This class pushed me farther than any class I've ever had
before (except for the obvious AP World History), and I am so glad that I took this class. I am
definitely looking forward to taking AP English next year!
