An unforgettable experience:
I have just arrived home after travelling around Ireland for two weeks. I visited different companies
which produce emergency equipment for natural disasters.
Last Friday, I went on the way to say bye to the general manager of this project but I could never do
it. First, the weather was so miserable that I couldn’t drive further than ten miles. Police had blocked
the road because of a heavy blizzard. Then, many cars parked everywhere and it was impossible to
continue driving. Next, I called the manager’s secretary and asked her to postpone our meeting but
she reacted in a very aggressive way and threatened me not to sign the contract between our
companies if I wasn’t punctual. I couldn’t react and after some seconds I redialled the manager’s
personal mobile phone number and I noticed that the line was always engaged.
Eventually I sent a whatsapp to my assistant manager in Spain explaining what had happened to me
and he tried to keep me calm. By surprise, one of the police officers came towards me and offered a
cup of tea. I smiled at her.
