The Spiritual Building The word church in the New Testament refers to people not the literal building in which they meet. “ Ekklesia” Strong’s Greek Lexicon #1577 Thayer defines it, 1d) in a Christian sense 1d1) an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting… Individuals make up the church… 1 Cor. 12:27; Rom. 12:5

3. The Spiritual Building Being in Christ is the same as being in His church. Why? Saved is blessed! Eph. 1:3; Gal. 3:27; Acts 2:47, 41 Christ’s church prophesied. Mt. 16:18-19 Christ is the head of His church. Eph. 1:22-23 The church is the same as His body and kingdom. Mt. 16:18-19; Col. 1:13, 18, 24

4. The Spiritual Building 1 Timothy 3:15 How we know we are His building today… We are God’s church/building 1 Cor. 1:2; 3:9 We’re His workmanship…, building up a Holy Temple for God. Eph. 2:10, 19-22 We are God’s spiritual kingdom. Lk. 17:20-21 We are not to defile our building from God. 1 Cor. 3:16-17; 6:19-20 But offer our lives up as a living sacrifice to Him… Rom. 12:1-2

Jn. 15:9-19; Rom. 12:10; 13:10; Eph. 4:15-16 When we love God, others will know it because our life will show it! 1 Corinthians 8:3; John 13:35 God has revealed when we do what He says to, that we are perfect in His work and therefore pleasing to Him.
