Red Hat Enterprise Linux from versions 3.8 to version 6.X
 Presently testing and already worked on how to resolve
the Leap Second Issues in Red hat Enterprise
 Hardware Sizing of hardware before Installation
 Determining what applications (Vendor) and proprietary
Applications and relating it with hardware Sizing
 Kernel Parameters performance tuning using sysctl.conf
file tuning
 Shell Shocking bash vulnerabilities this allows us to install
a none vulnerable bash shell which requires a reboot.
 Proficient with Red Hat Linux knowledge of management
and monitoring tools
 Strong understand and worked with networking and
system protocols: TCP/IP, NTP,HTTP/HTTPS, NFS and
SNMP
 Patch Management based on advice from red hat on Red
Hat vulnerabilities and Solid knowledge of configuration
Management
 Solid knowledge of Storage configuration using IBM
Storage infrastructure
 RAID and LVM management using Red Hat OS, Hardware
RAID using external Storage and within the OS
functionalities
 Skill and very proficient in cloning red Hat VMware
running flavors of Red Hat and upgrading to give
developers the needed environment to test upgraded and
newer applications
 Upgrading to a newer Flavor of Red Hat in VMware Slice
proving client with clones to test their newer applications
and working with them to get things right.
 On call duties to support any problem with a server
running Red Hat enterprise Linux.
 Using ISCSI technology to attaché external storage to a
Red Hat server for external Storage purposes.
 Ability to troubles external storage problems
 Expert in using automount in Red hat environment
 Was in the process of test Red Hat 7
VMware Administration in the Virtualization space:
 ESXi and ESX server upgrade
 VMware Tools upgrades which is necessary to allow
VMware Hypervisor to have better communication with
the Guest Operation systems mainly Microsoft Windows
OS and Flavors of Linux that is supported by VMware,
 VMotion and this is done if we have issues with an ESXi
physical Server and need to move a VM slice to another
ESXi server and that is why we make our ESXi servers only
fifty percent used capacity.
 P2V (Meaning Physical to Virtual Environment) along with
disaster recovery basically meaning moving a VM slice to a
functioning ESXi physical server giving us time to working
on an ESXi problem and troubleshooting
 Skilled with Networking in a VMware environment
 Ability to back up the VMware Server environment using
Symantec Netback up
 Provide performance monitoring and adjustment for
example if a VM slice Guest Operating system need more
virtual memory or virtual CPU.
 Ability to quickly trouble shoot performance issues in a VM
slice in relations to the Guest OS performance.
