God allows evil only for the greater good of us. Therefore, whatever may happen we should strengthen our relationship with God instead of blaming Him. Let us put our trust in Him wholeheartedly. He is a God who loves us and not to punish us.

God’s Voice
Gospel Reading:
John 14:1-12
W – Do not be troubled! Trust in God and trust in Me.
O – Do not be afraid, trust, and be faithful to God and he will bless your life.
R – No one would wish to have and experience this ugly, destructive, and devastating
pandemic the so-called Coronavirus-19. It already consumed millions of lives. And some
of the believers of God keep on asking if this deadly disease is a punishment from God
to the whole humanity. What do you think?
As a seminarian, I believe that our God is loving, so it is not his will to hurt us nor letting
us put into eternal damnation. Perhaps we have read several Bible passages particularly in
the Old Testament about God's wrath and punished those who sinned against him. One of
which is in the book of Genesis chapters 6 – 9, the story tells of God's decision to return
the Earth to its pre-creation state of watery chaos and then remake it in a reversal of
creation. But God, based on the story, he made a covenant between Noah and the rest of
the humanity that he will never do it again. And the rainbow is the great sign of that
covenant between them.
In the New Testament, the new covenant is Jesus, the Messiah and we have witnessed it
evidently through the suffering and death of his only begotten Son Jesus Christ which he
offered himself for our salvation and until now it is available and inherited by many
people of the world. God works for our good but Satan opposed it and precisely that is his
nature, he wants to destroy us and make us suffer. His primary goal is to make us far and
separated from God. He will do everything for us to hate and blame God and not believe

2. in him. And if this thing will be successfully have done, consequently, we shall be put to
hell to suffer eternally. And that is why as enlightenment from God, we should check
now and examine our faith to God, how does this trial "Covid-19" affect us personally.
We must be clever to it because it is the primary target of Satan to destroy our
relationship with God. We do not know what will happen the next days, weeks and
months for the virus is still spreading, maybe we cannot escape from this virus but the
best thing I should do is to make sure that my heart, mind, body, and soul belong and
united to God. Because whether we like it or not even if we can overcome this virus but
the reality is that we will still die maybe not this time but at a certain moment. That is
why, we should secure our relationship with God so that whatever disastrous events may
come in our life, we are already prepared to face the judgment of God. But on the other
hand, I'm still expecting and hoping that God will grant all our prayers, for the healing of
this disease, and in this Gospel, it is an assuring word from God to do not be troubled,
just trust Him and He will not disappoint us. He knows what is best for us and He will
give it to us for all that he wants is only to make us happy and satisfied in life.
D - Today I will continue to strengthen my relationship to God, and continue my devotion to
pray the Divine Chaplet of the Divine Mercy every night and also spending time for
silent and listen to my conscience as it is the inner voice of our Lord Jesus Christ.
