Grace and truth
You are a blessed one to herewith a copy that will enliven your
faith and make you grateful. How I guess you have severally tried
to become a born a gain, or you are afraid to declare that big
word “born again!”- You doubt your salvation!
Salvation has been made easy from the time one encounters Jesus.
Zacchaeus received salvation even before confessing his sins!
Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because
this man, too, is a son of Abraham for the Son of Man came to seek
and to save the lost.
Once you accepted Christ, you received salvation. Zacchaeus
agreed to host Jesus in his house, you too can do that.
What is salvation?
A concise definition can be summed up in one word:
DELIVERANCE. But deliverance from what? When the
Israelites came out of Egypt and reached the Red Sea, Moses told
them to “stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD” (Exodus
14:13). In this case, God provided a physical deliverance for
Israel from the armies of Egypt.
In the New Testament, the term “salvation” is especially used to
refer to the great deliverance from the penalty of sin, which is
eternal death (Romans 6:23). That is why the book of Hebrews
calls it “so great a salvation” (Hebrews 2:3)-The effect of
salvation is fear and hope.
Salvation is what was promised by the prophets. We are freed,
delivered in all bondages of sins, curses, sicknesses, poverty etc.
once and for all…hallelujah!

Before salvation, we were slaves of the law, the law was given for
transgressions, till the seed (Jesus Christ) should come to whom the
promise was made (Gal3:19). Emphasis mine. The law was for
purpose of transgression and where there is no law, there is no
transgression. The law came with Moses but grace and truth came
with Jesus Christ. (John1:17)
Salvation is not dependent on grace alone. If it were, everyone would
be saved and going to heaven, for God’s grace is the same toward
everyone (Titus 2:11). He has already given the gift of salvation to
everyone through Jesus. It is by faith that a person receives what was
done 2,000 years ago. Amen!
What is Grace?
Grace is most clearly expressed in the promises of God revealed in
Scripture and embodied in Jesus Christ.
Grace is the love of God shown to the unlovely; the peace of God
given to the restless; the unmerited favour of God
Grace is most needed and best understood in the midst of sin,
suffering, and brokenness. We live in a world of earning, deserving,
and merit, and these results in judgment. That is why everyone wants
and needs grace. Judgment kills. Only grace makes alive.
Shorthand for what grace is - “mercy, not merit.” Grace is the
opposite of karma, which is all about getting what you deserve. Grace
is getting what you don’t deserve, and not getting what you do
deserve.
While everyone desperately needs it, grace is not about us. Grace is
fundamentally a word about God: his un-coerced initiative and
pervasive, extravagant demonstrations of care and favor. Michael
Horton writes, “In grace, God gives nothing less than Himself. Grace,
then, is not a third thing or substance mediating between God and
sinners, but is Jesus Christ in redeeming action.”- 1 Cor 1:30, Eph 1:7,
Gal 3:13, Mark 10:45.

What is truth?
This is a word that no one goes for dictionary for its meaning. Ask
anyone today, "What is truth?" and you’re sure to start an interesting
conversation. Try it on a university campus and you’re likely to
receive laughter, scorn, and derision. The concept of truth has clearly
fallen on hard times, and the consequences of rejecting it are ravaging
human society.
Truth is also ontological—which is a fancy way of saying it is the
way things really are. Reality is what it is because God declared it so
and made it so. Therefore God is the author, source, determiner,
governor, arbiter, ultimate standard, and final judge of all truth.
The truth I want us to base on is the truth that is in Christ. The night
before His crucifixion, Jesus offered a heartfelt prayer to His Father
on behalf of His disciples—not only those of that day, but also those
who would follow Him in the future. Within the context of that
prayer, He said, “Sanctify [set apart] them by your truth. Your word is
truth” (John 17:17, the spirit of truth John16:13-emphasis added
throughout).
Here, Christ is saying one should be able to examine the pages of
God’s Word—the Holy Bible—to learn the truth on any subject of
major importance or significance. The Bible contains the answers to
questions about why we were born, our purpose in life, whether God
exists and the potential of mankind
The Psalmist wrote similarly: “The entirety of your word is truth”
(Psalm 119:160).Interestingly, the word “truth” can be found more
than 200 times in Scriptures. I n the book of Revelation, the angle
tells john, “write this because it is true”.

Grace and faith.
Andrew Wommack takes best on this subject of grace and faith; Faith
is defined as being a positive response to what God has already
provided by grace. In other words, faith is your positive response to
God’s grace, or faith only appropriates what God has already
provided for you. Therefore, faith is your part.
Grace and faith work together, and they must be in balance.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says,
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Sometimes we read a passage from Scripture that is so familiar; we
don’t stop to think about what it is really saying. In this verse, a
profound truth is being declared. It says we are saved by grace
through faith, not one or the other. Think of it this way—grace is what
God does; faith is what we do. It takes both working together to
receive salvation.
Most of us believe that in order to be saved, we need to ask God to
forgive us of our sins, but that isn’t what the Bible teaches. In 1 John
2:2, it states that Jesus was the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not
only for ours, but also for the sins of the whole world. Jesus didn’t
just die for those He knew would accept Him; He died for every
sinner who has ever lived on this earth. And He died before you or I
ever committed a single sin.
Here is a radical truth that would get me kicked out of most churches:
Sin is not an issue with God! The Lord isn’t waiting for us to ask Him
to forgive us of our sins. The sins of the entire world—past, present,
and future—have already been forgiven. Even a man like Adolf Hitler
had grace extended to him! Jesus loved Hitler and paid for his sins
just as He did for yours and mine. God is no respecter of persons
(Rom. 2:11).

God has already done His part; it is now up to you to receive the truth
by faith and make it a reality in your life. Amen!
John the Baptist said in John 1:29,
“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
In John 16:8-9, Jesus said,
“And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on
me.”
People do not go to hell for committing adultery, stealing, or even
murder. Those, like all sins, have already been paid for. This is what
the Bible says in John 16:8-9—the only sin that is going to send
people to hell is the sin of rejecting Jesus Christ as their personal
Saviour. So, stop magnifying sin in your life!
The message that much of the church is preaching causes us to
become conscious of sin instead of conscious of righteousness (Rom.
3:19-22). It also causes us to link our performance to all the other
blessings of God.
Thank you for making to the end of this last page. Do you want to
receive salvation? Recite these short words as per (Rom 10:9);
“Dear lord Jesus Christ, I believe from my heart and I declare with
my mouth that you are Lord died for my sins and God raised you from
the dead. Amen”. You are saved forever! Visit any church that
preaches grace, truth and walk in righteousness.
