Aid for trade at a glance 2013 connecting to value chainsDr Lendy Spires
…increasing trade performance, as well as… Econometric analysis suggests that bilateral aid for trade is broadly correlated with increases in trade performance. This report calculates that 1 USD in aid for trade is associated with an increase of nearly 8 USD in additional exports from all developing countries, 9 USD for all low and lower-middle income countries and 20 USD for International Development Association (IDA) countries. …trade in parts and components. Econometric analysis has also found that aid for trade is even more positively and significantly associated with growth in trade of parts and components. There is no need for major refocusing of aid for trade, but…
The progressive proliferation of value chains is changing global trade flows and widening trading opportunities for developing countries’ suppliers. Aid for trade is already addressing the right set of issues to further support this process. No major refocusing of the Aid-for-Trade Initiative seems required. …import efficiency requires more attention. At the same time, improving import efficiency appears to be one area that requires additional attention. Too frequently aid-for-trade programmes fail to exhibit sufficient concerns about this dimension of competitiveness, which is nevertheless vital for connecting developing country suppliers to value chains.
Aid effectiveness principles could better applied, and… All stakeholders emphasize that aid needs to be managed better to deliver tangible trade and development results. Governments that are working with donors to design aid-for-trade programmes with clear targets and performance indicators for each phase of the results chain are likely to have the greatest pay-off. … aid-for-trade programmes should take account of the broader policy environment. Aid-for-trade programmes also need to take into account the broader policy environment, particularly trade policy but also complementary policies.
What seems most needed now is a renewed commitment by all stakeholders to continue supporting developing countries in building the supply-side capacities and infrastructure they need to make trade an engine of growth and poverty reduction. The 4th Global Review in July 2013 and the 9th WTO Ministerial Conference in December 2013 provide important opportunities for Members to discuss how to ensure the continued relevance of the Aid-for-Trade Initiative in a changing environment for trade and development.

Still, younger actors like De Bruyne’s Manchester City partner Jeremy Doku bring fresh vitality to the team. Euro Cup Germany Qualifying unbeaten with just four goals allowed from eight games was a welcome sign of accomplishment back on track under Tedesco.

WMG 2013 Code of Conduct
World Mini Games 2013 Guide Cork’s Premier Sporting Event www.worldminigames2013.com
The WMG 2013 requires all players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators to abide by a "Code of Conduct" that embodies basic common sense principles, demonstrates consideration of others, and reflects well on the Games.
Individuals and/or teams participating in the Games, as well as members of their retinue, that fail to abide by the Code of Conduct will be subject to ejection and disqualification from the Tourna- ment in the future.
The directors of the Tournament reserve the right to report violations of the Code of Conduct to the board of directors of relevant leagues and associations.
Coaches, Managers and Coordinators are ultimately responsible to ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct during The Games and are expected to promote behaviour consistent with The Games philosophy.
The Code of Conduct
Players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators are to conduct themselves in a manner that "Honours the Games" demonstrates respect for others and is consistent with the business-like operation of The Games for the benefit of everyone involved.
Sportsmanship and the concepts of fair and honourable play are essential to the overall success of The Games.
The emphasis on winning should never be placed above the value of good sportsmanship, the concepts of fair and honourable play, or the spirit of The Games.
Poor sportsmanship, taunting, trash talking, fighting or other unbecoming behaviour on the part of players, coaches, parents or spectators will not be tolerated.
Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in a penalty, but officials are authorized to handle such con- duct in their reasonable judgment based on the circumstances, including ending the game (which will be treated as a forfeit by each team regardless of "who did what"). Poor sportsmanship may also result in ejectment from the game or the facility.

WMG 2013 Code of Conduct
World Mini Games 2013 Guide Cork’s Premier Sporting Event www.worldminigames2013.com
Only head coaches, managers or coordinators are permitted to address the officials; and are ex- pected to do so in a courteous manner. Adults involved with the game are not permitted to openly or maliciously criticize, badger, harass, or threaten an official. Derogatory comments are unac- ceptable and subject to discipline, including ejectment.
Alcohol is not permitted at the WMG 2013 venues.
Officials are expected to conduct themselves as professionals and in a manner that demonstrates courtesy and fairness to all parties while exercising their authority on the field.
Eligibility requirements, such as age and previous level of participation, must be followed. They have been established to encourage and maximize participation, as well as promote safety. The Games rely on the good faith of coaches, managers, coordinators and players as well as their representations regarding age during the registration process.
We expect all coaches, managers and coordinators to understand the rules of the tournaments and communicate them to members of the team and the team's entourage.
Head coaches, managers or coordinators may report any issues regarding officials and/or other teams to field managers, Games directors or their representatives. We will use reasonable efforts to address any concerns with such officials as appropriate in discretion.
Please be advised that WMG 2013 directors expect compliance with this Code of Conduct and the "Honour the Game" philosophy to obviate the need for investigative activity or to adjudicate disputes. Such activity represents a major distraction from efforts to oversee an enjoyable event and a fun day of games for everyone.
WMG 2013 directors reserve the right to adopt and implement such other rules or regulations as it determines are necessary or appropriate to further the goals and objectives of The Games.
Thank you for your help in promoting these principles and the "Honour the Games" philosophy.

PARKING
These protocols have been developed in consultation with the field owners and local Garda. They are intended to address site constraints, promote the flow of traffic, ensure safety and en- hance The Games experience for all participants.
Communicate with Your Team (s): Team leaders are responsible to make sure parents/ coaches/fans have read these instructions in advance. Parents/fans should peruse and print venue materials (site maps/parking information) for each venue in advance of the tournament and have these materials available for reference. All resources are available on the WMG 2013 website - www.worldminigames2013.com.
Plan Ahead and Carpool to optimize use of the facilities and your tournament experience! Park- ing space is limited.
Please be Courteous: Whether parking on-site or off-site, be courteous and park immediately adjacent to the next car, so we utilize available parking spaces efficiently.
Don't Restrict Access and the Flow of Traffic: Cones or other markers/barriers will be set up where needed to ensure the flow of pedestrian traffic, cart traffic and emergency field access and to protect "choke points." Do not remove cones or park in spaces that are not obvious park- ing spots. Do not double-park or park in any unauthorized locations. Please obey "no parking" and "fire lane" signs/markers. Honour the Game for the enjoyment and safety of everyone!
Vehicles that impede the flow of traffic or create unsafe conditions may be ticketed or towed at the direction of the local Garda.
