1. Mr. Thomas Learning Environment
Project LMS course
My LEP would be a MOOC or Massive open online
course. I would design this course to be a self paced
non-credit, free admission course for anyone who
wanted to learn about solar photovoltaic energy and its
applications. The basic learning systems would be
constructed upon a LMS hosted in the clouds and a
PLE would be required for each learner to be able to
access the course, contribute feedback, collaborate
with others and to prove mastery of the material. This
is how it would look virtually.

4. Learning tools, communication tools, productivity tools, student involvement
tools, collaboration tools for synchronous and asynchronous learning.
Communication tools will utilize the basic email that all students have available.
Productivity tools will include but not be limited to the following.
Student involvement tools will allow the student access onto various platforms these
tools include mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets as well as laptops and
Mac products.

7. Cost of SaaS (software as a service) will depend on various variables.
See below. In the beginning our cost are minimum, and grows with
class size.
Currently we are using 4.6MB of
2GB of storage available to us to
host #2-courses. I can create 3-
more courses before a
subscription fee is encouraged.

will be technical support for getting logged
on, and anything else needed the LMS has a
host of answers and support features.

10. My LMS embraces the principles of simplicity and connectivity as such learners from
around the world will be encouraged to create PLE and use mobile application to access
the course content, connect with others and collaborate on projects that promote
sustainable energy usage through access to ideas that move people and shape lives.
