The student chose to study Media at A Level because they had enjoyed and been successful in Media at GCSE level, gaining high marks. They feel Media is one of their strongest subjects and want to gain further knowledge in it. They also aspire to work in the media industry as a journalist, photographer or model, as they enjoy writing, finding information, and have experience in photography and modeling. The student hopes studying Media at A Level will help them succeed in their aspirations.

1. Why I chose Media...
The reason why I chose to study the subject Media at A Level was due to many factors;
firstly I had already had experience with the subject at GCSE Level throughout the school
years of year 10 and 11 and had particularly enjoyed the subject, I was deemed to be very
successful with this subject as proven by my B-Tech grade of 4 Distinction*'s. So I’d like to
think I could progress more and gain further knowledge by taking the course as I feel it is
one of my strongest points. I also aspire to be many people to some degree who work in the
media industry, and particular jobs to which they have. I enjoy writing and finding out
information about people, music and just general things, so I’d like to become some sort of
journalist or something along those lines. I also have some experience with photography
and modelling and have considered these options also within the jobs or careers that media
upholds, I'm pretty content with taking this course and hope that it will help me to conquer
and succeed with my aspirations.
