1. Why Diets DON’T Work!
Stop the madness….PLEASE! There are millions of diets out there and how do you know which
one is best and which one will work for you??? The answer...(simple, but let’s look at the real
facts)…
If you have read anything I have written before, you know diets simply aren’t the answer and
don’t work. Let’s define…DON’T WORK. The definition of DON’T WORK means a diet
program that doesn’t result in a sustainable healthy lifestyle. Of course there are those people
who want to crash diet for an event or something providing a short term result. Any diet program
is fine for that. If that’s your end game, simply eat nothing for a couple days or eat NO fat foods
for a week and you will see results. There is no magic formula for the one hit wonder. If you are
truly committed to changing your life and re-shaping your body and your health, then you need
to read on.
The word DIET alone really makes no sense. It is a very complex ideology. Everyone tries to
dumb it down. The fact is that dieting is one of the most challenging changes to a person’s
lifestyle that exist. Dieting involves not only physical changes, but mental changes. I love
football so I equate everything to football. When you throw the ball, there is a high reward for a
successful play. With that high reward, comes more negatives than positives when you attempt to
throw the ball. These include sacks, incompletions, and interceptions. Dieting is the same way.
You step on the scale and you get the reward…or the interception. You have to have a certain
mental toughness and discipline lifestyle to achieve success. That is true for sure with the
thousands and maybe millions of one hit wonder diets.
If you are going on a diet, why not diet for a healthy life. It’s tough anyway. If you are going to
decide that you need to lose weight for whatever reason and you make the effort to do it, why not
do it for the long term? Why not do it for the right reasons?
The fact is that if you are going to diet, you have to exercise. Why? Not for the reasons you
might think. Diet and exercise are important for living a longer life…period. Of course we set
short term goals or have our reasons for short term successful weight loss. These might include
vacations (bathing suit look), weddings, class reunions, etc.. These are great reasons to lose
weight and fit into the clothes you want to look good in. Great, we have are carrot and our
motivation. Truth be told, these are only enablers. What does that mean? These are the initiators
of the motivation to lose weight. If this is true, any weight loss program you decide to use will be
a short term remedy. The fact that you think you need to do something or desire to lose weight
should be enough of a signal to make a long term healthy change. Don’t be motivated by the
short term event. That is why I love BioRISTORE. The BioRISTORE Program is not a one size

regiment or a standard exercise routine…you are wasting your time.
Here is my story and what I learned. I was a big “fat burning” diet person. I used the 1 week,
drop 12 pounds diets that are over the place. It was crazy. There are definitively thousands of
diets that I mulled over. These diets included programs like South Beach, Fat Burning programs,
the Zone, and, my favorite, Cabbage Soup. Why is Cabbage Soup my favorite? It is the best of
2. the best when it comes to short term results. The problem with all of them and especially my
favorite is…they are short term. There is no long term sustainable weight loss. I almost went
broke with the “buy our food” diets.
So here’s what I found….
I was doing a ton of research and stumbled upon BioRISTORE. Why is this program unique? I
hope I do it justice. I work long hours and, unfortunately, travel a lot. I needed to do something
to stay in decent shape because I have a young child in first grade (and one that is a freshman in
college). I did not want to have the challenges of my age and schedule affect my ability to be a
good parent (all over again). That was my motivation. This was clearly a lifestyle issue and not a
single event desire. That said, I really wanted to give myself the best chance to live a long, happy
life for my family and, more specifically, for my children. BioRISTORE had the total package. It
