Teachers can make a difference by being passionate about teaching and connecting with students on a personal level. When teachers treat students with respect and help those from disadvantaged backgrounds, it impacts students' lives significantly. Even decades later, former students remember teachers who made them feel important and impacted their development. To make a lasting difference, teachers must care about students' daily experiences and long-term success, not just their test scores.
About Me!
The document describes the author's experience transferring to and attending World Citi College in Guimba Campus in the Philippines in 2013. They had previously attended Wesleyan University Philippines but struggled to adjust at first to the new environment and people at World Citi College. However, over time as they got to know people who accepted them as family, they began to feel World Citi College was like a second home and they experienced what is called "college life", learning to be happy and learning about life.
