Troy Kronowetter was born in Toronto in 2000 and moved to St. Catharines, Ontario at age 2. He currently lives there with his parents, sister, two brothers, and dog. Troy enjoys drawing in his free time and playing video games. Some of his favorite things include the color red, art, Harry Potter books, soccer, pasta, and The Beatles. He attended Parnall Public School and Dalewood Public School and hopes to pursue art or technology in college or university.

2. TheBeginningof Me
• I was born on May 10th in the
year 2000. The city I was born in was
Toronto, Ontario. In the hospital, I almost
had a twin of my own. After my birth, I
was brought to this house in a very noisy
part of the city. It must have been hard for
my parents to raise four kids in a really
noisy place. Then again, I really wouldn’t
get it.
• After two years, we had moved to
St. Catharines because the house was
getting smaller as we grew bigger. That
way, we were closer to our grandmother’s
house and our great aunt’s house. It was
really uncomfortable at first, but then I
grew to love the house and the
neighbourhood.

3. CurrentEvents
 Now, I live in St. Catharines,
Ontario with my sister, Alicia, my
brothers, Scott and Erik, my parents,
and my dog, Buckey. In my family, I am
the youngest child. Alicia is 22 years
old, Erik is 19 years old, Scott is 16
years old, and I’m 14 years old.
 Alicia really isn’t here all the time
because she goes to Humber College in
Toronto, but sometimes she’ll stay for
the weekend or the Holidays. Erik now
goes to Niagara College, he doesn’t
really need to live there because it’s
closer to us than Humber is. Scott is in
Grade 11, so he’s close to leaving the
school. I, of course, am in Grade 9, and
I hope to get great marks and be a good
student. My mom works at Canadian
Tire Financial Services (CTFS) , and my
dad works at Home Depot in the paint
department.

4. My Origins
My last name “Kronowetter” is German, and my dad told me that it had meant
something. My dad’s side is German and Yugoslavian, while my mother’s side is Italian
and Armenian. I have been told that Armenians can grow any kind of hair quickly (e.g.
facial hair, eyebrows, etc.).

5. My Ancestry
My grandfather, Louis Roberto, had gone to fight in the war. He had lied about
his name and his age just to get in. He had gone by something common for a last name,
something as common as Smith. He survived the war, but had died years later on
February 19th in the year 2001. That was a giant hole in my family’s heart, but I was too
young to remember or even feel anything. But it still affects me whenever I see any
pictures of him with my family and he has a smile on his face.

6. My Hobby
• In my free time, I like to draw.
When I draw, it’s usually something that
already exists or something that I made
up. Each time I draw something, I notice
that my skills are getting better by the
minute. I also make cards for people on
their birthdays, but mainly for my friends
and family.
• It’s not really a hobby, but I also
like to play video games. I mainly play on
Nintendo consoles, like the Wii, and hand
helds, like the 3DS. The only time I would
play anything like a PlayStation 3 is when
I’m either at a friend’s house, or at my
cousin’s house. I play games like Legend
of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., Fire Emblem,
Pac- Man, etc.

7. My Favourites
 I don’t know why, but I like the colour red. I am also into art and technology,
but mainly art. My favourite book series are the Harry Potter series, the Percy
Jackson series, the Heroes of Olympus series, and the Kane Chronicles. I don’t really
watch a lot of T.V., but I like The Big Bang Theory. My favourite sport to play is
soccer.
 My favourite kind of food has to be pasta, I really enjoy it when I’m eating it. I
like a lot of movies, so here are some of my favourites: Toy Story, My Neighbour
Totoro, Up, and Superman Returns. My favourite cartoon is Looney Tunes. My
favourite band is The Beatles.

8. EducationalPath
 The first school I ever went to was Parnall Public School. When I was at Parnall, it had
gone from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Now, it goes from Kindergarten to Grade 8 and it’s not the
same anymore. Some of the old teachers are still there, but most of them had left the school.
That’s where I met my best friends, and had my good times.
 The school I went to before Governor Simcoe was Dalewood Public School. In my
brother’s and sister’s time there, it was originally just a Grade 7 and 8 school. But when I got
there, it was already filled with younger students along with the other Grade 7’s and 8’s. That
was also where I made millions of other friends and had more memorable moments.

9. For my future, I hope to go to either college or university and enter a course
that gets my interest. Hopefully, I will get into an art course or a technology course.
Afterwards, I plan to be an artist and sell some artwork. Hopefully, I can make some
money wherever I go to sell my art.
