This means that I am most interested in working in the world of words, which is
no surprise to me. I am slightly interested in working with math and logic, and a
tiny bit interested in working with people, which might be my past desire to be a
teacher. I have no interest in working with computers, outdoors, or with physical
activity, which makes sense. I don’t enjoy manual labour things, and I hate trying
to fix computer problems because I get frustrated very easily.

Which means that I learn best by seeing and looking, then by
hearing and listening, and least by touching and doing. I love
reading, and I read a lot, so I learn best by reading. Before I
could read, I listened to a lot of audiobooks, which makes me
also used to picking up information that I hear. I don’t learn as
much doing science experiments as I do reading the textbook
or filling out a worksheet, I don’t learn as much by touching
and doing.

5. Leisure Activities
When I have spare time, I usually spend it reading or
watching Doctor Who. Outside of school, I also play the piano and
take voice lessons. I play the alto saxophone in the school concert
and jazz bands. I also love writing and am working on a book. If I
have lots of spare time, like in the summer, I like learning new things:
this summer I plan on learning German. I don’t play any sports, but I
am getting my lifeguarding certifications. I also like to spend time with
my friends and family.

6. Friends
My two best friends are Lydia and Emily. Lydia
and I are really similar: we both are
perfectionists, play piano, and try to get good
grades. We are like sisters. Emily is a bit more
outgoing than either of us, so she usually
drags us into participating in things. She is the
adventurous one, but still is smart and
ambitious. My friends are both good
influences, but are still a lot of fun to be
around, and I am so grateful for them.

7. Clothing Styles
When I was younger and my mum dressed me, I always wore cute
little matching outfits with Scottie dogs or cherries on them. As I got older, I
dressed myself in more practical clothes: jeans, t-shirts, and runners, though
they were always good quality. As I entered high school, my inner girl kicked
in a bit more, and I started to pay attention to and follow trends. I always buy
good quality, if expensive, clothes, and, though I pay attention to what people
around me are wearing, I don’t completely rely on them.

8. Music
My musical preferences are definitely different than most
other people’s my age. I grew up listening to pretty much solely
classical music, though we had a couple CDs by people like Frank
Sinatra and Louis Armstrong. I think what you listen to as a child has
a huge impact on your taste as you get older, and I still listen to
mostly classical, though I also like songs from musicals like Les Mis.
Because I have been exposed to what I believe is the greatest music
in the world, I can’t appreciate any of the music people my age listen
to because it is so poorly written and repetitive. I think I can also
attribute my love of classical music to the fact that I took ballet and
still take piano, which both revolve around classical music. My
favourite composers are Rachmaninoff, Puccini, Strauss, and
Chopin. I know that my musical taste is different, but I love what I
listen to (and play on the piano) and wouldn’t change it for anything.

9. Favourite Restaurant
My favourite restaurant in town is the Fixx Café. My
parents and Grandma and I go there about once a month for
dinner. It is small, but the staff all know us and the food is
fantastic. Whenever we come in, the owner and chef comes
out and hugs my Grandma and asks how she has been doing,
and the waitress who always serves us asks my parents about
all of our upcoming trips and things. I always get the linguine
bolognaise, which is the best I’ve ever had. It is a massive
bowl, so I get to take the leftovers home for lunch the next day.
The desserts are also very good: there is key lime pie or a
slice of whatever that day’s cheesecake is. I think that it is
often the small, locally owned restaurants that produce the
best food and have the best service, and my family likes to
support these places as often as we can, especially when they
are so enjoyable to eat at.
