WHO
By Holly Moran, Jade Potts, Liberty Carrington and
                               Molly-Anne Noakes
The reason for our thriller opening
sequence to be called ‘WHO?’ is
because, the audience has a huge
range of enigmas rising to the surface
by the end of our sequence.
The Narrative
From beginning to end, there are two
couples, the main girl (the protagonist), her
boyfriend, the antagonist and his girlfriend.
They are all friends but we discover that
the antagonist who is also the boyfriends
best friend, has a psycho love for the
protagonist. After a night out the
protagonist is left alone with the antagonist
in the car which leaves us to discover her
walking alone in the morning injured and
  covered in blood...
Our Opening Sequence
It begins with the main girl walking down the
street in the morning covered in blood,
weeping. This is when the enigmas start for
the audience as we wonder where she has
come from? Why she is in the state that
she is? And what happened? Then the
sequence goes back in time with
flashbacks for the audience to get hints of
reasons why she is covered in blood.
Images and clips of the antagonist waiting
to attack the protagonist from the night
   before.
Sub Genre
Our opening sequence is a psychological
thriller. What makes it a psychological
thriller is because it plays upon the
audiences mind and also there is
emotional conflict between the two main
 characters, the antagonist and the
 protagonist.
Films That Inspired Us
The films we were
  inspired by are:
  American
  Psycho, Black
  Swan and Prom
  Night.
They are all
  psychological
  thrillers which
  are also based
  on love.
Locations
Our locations that we are
going to use will be a hang
out spot which will possibly
be a pub (The Trooper) or a
alternative hang out.
We will also be using
Vansittart Road (this is
where the protagonist will
be walking the next
morning).
Mise en Scene
For the night before scenes we will be
using ambient lighting so it’ll look very
low key. Also, for the early morning
scenes we will be using ambient lighting
to look as natural as possible.
As for make-up, we will only be using fake
blood for the main girl to show she has
been attacked. As for the other
characters, there is no specific look we
  would need.
Mise en Scene
Props Used
The props we will be using will be:
 A necklace (belonging to the
  protagonist)
 A mobile phone (also protagonists)
 A car
 A form of weapon (broken beer bottle)

             Production

BBFC
Our psychological thriller will be certificated a 15. This is because it
only contains some strong language, some sexual reference
   and violence.

The listed aspects below are examples of what would make a
thriller film classed as a 15 by the rules of the BBFC
 strong violence
 frequent strong language
 portrayals of sexual activity
 strong verbal references to sex
 sexual nudity
 brief scenes of sexual violence or verbal references to sexual
   violence
 discriminatory language or behaviour
 drug taking
