This presentation presents a framework to answer the question - Who is Jesus? There are only 4 possibilities - legend, liar, lunatic or Lord. Anything else would be a gross understatement, considering the claims and credentials of Jesus

Series passages that pump me up - connecting with the lost- our biblical m...LifePointe Church
This is Part 15 of Pastor Chuck Bernal’s message series, “Passages That Pump Me Up”. This message was designed to challenge and inspire every person to reach out to the lost and bring them to our Explore God campaign beginning on September 13m 2015. All of us who know Christ are obligated to warn the lost about their need of Christ and invite them to know Him. This messsage was delivered at LifePointe Church in Crowley, TX on Sunday, September 6, 2015
Acts is one of the most action packed books of the Bible. Luke describes the spread of the gospel from Jerusalem to Rome The challenge of Jesus to take the gospel to the ends of the earth was impossible with out the power and leadership of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is mentioned 43 times in Acts more than any other book.
The New Testament shows us repeatedly that those who were helped by Jesus would tell others about Jesus. This is a pattern that reminds us that this is our purpose also.
To truly calculate the cost, you must consider both the cost of action and the cost of inaction not only for the near term but in the long term. Jesus calls us to a decision. Choose wisely.

What Should be the Christian View of Anime?Joe Muraguri
We will learn what Anime is and see what a Christian should consider before watching anime movies? We will also learn a little bit of Shintoism religion and hentai (the craze of internet pornography today).
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

Evangelization in the footsteps of Saint Vincent de Paul

1. Luke 9:46-48
An argument arose among them as to which
of them was the greatest. But Jesus,
knowing the reasoning of their hearts, took a
child and put him by his side and said to
them, “Whoever receives this child in my
name receives Me, and whoever receives
Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is
least among you all is the one who is great.”

2. Luke 9:49-50
John answered, “Master, we saw someone
casting out demons in Your name, and we
tried to stop him, because he does not
follow with us.” But Jesus said to him, “Do
not stop him, for the one who is not against
you is for you.”

3. Luke 9:51-53
When the days drew near for Him to be
taken up, He set his face to go to Jerusalem.
And He sent messengers ahead of Him, who
went and entered a village of the
Samaritans, to make preparations for Him.
But the people did not receive Him, because
his face was set toward Jerusalem.

4. Luke 9:54-56
And when His disciples James and John saw
it, they said, “Lord, do you want us to tell fire
to come down from heaven and consume
them?” But He turned and rebuked them.
And they went on to another village.

A Christian defined: Salvation & Sanctification
via CHRIST JESUS ALONE.
Tip #1: BE HUMBLE “as God has distributed a
measure of faith to each one”. (46-48)
Tip #2: WHOMEVER is a FRIEND of Jesus is
(and should be) a FRIEND of MINE. (49-50)

“SLOW TO ANGER”:
Used 9 times in OT
and all are about GOD’S CHARACTER.
→
Used ONCE in NT (JAMES 1:19) and relates
specifically to how Christians SHOULD ACT.
→
Tip #3: Ultimately, disagreements should not
DESTROY our OPPONENT but DRAW US
CLOSER. (51-56)
7. (Acts 15:36-41) When
disagreements happen:
1st: DO NO (or very little) HARM.
2nd: SEPARATION can BEGIN HEALING.
3rd: PRAY for RECONCILIATION not VICTORY.

A GOOD OUTCOME of a strong disagreement
