The document discusses the nature of God in Christianity, specifically addressing questions about whether God is one or three (the Trinity) and whether Jesus is God or part of God. It presents passages from the Bible that seem to distinguish Jesus from God, such as Jesus saying "There is none good but one, that is, God" and referring to God as "the only true God." The document aims to analyze these passages critically and determine what conclusions can be drawn about whether Jesus is described as God or as separate from God in the Bible.

Jesus said, “Seek the truth,
and the truth will set you free.”
As a seeker of the truth and a
student of life, and after many years of
observation, research and comparative
study, it appears to me that people often
base their beliefs and judgments on weak,
sandy foundations, rather than on the solid
foundation of rock that Jesus
recommended.
Concerning the topic at hand, I have
noticed some major differences between
what is commonly and officially
understood about God in Christianity, and
what the Bible itself states!
In this booklet, I would like to share
with you -out of love and concern- what I
have noticed and learned throughmy
continuous journey of research, analysis,
and study.
The intent of this work is to
honestly and sincerely present the truth
that I found, not to hurt the feelings of
anyone.
Now let us turn to discuss some
issues and questions concerning the nature
of God in Christianity, namely the Trinity
and divinity of Jesus.

This document is a chapter from a book that discusses the nature of God in Christianity. It aims to present what the author found in their research of the Bible on this topic. The chapter asks several questions at the beginning to introduce the topics it will cover, such as whether God is one or three, if Jesus is equal to God, and if Jesus is the son of God. It then provides various verses from the Bible to analyze these questions. For example, it examines verses where Jesus distinguishes himself from God, says God is greater than him, and that he was sent by God. The chapter aims to use logic and reasoning to understand what the Bible actually says about if Jesus is God based on these verses. It concludes by
The document discusses how all prophets from Adam to Muhammad conveyed the same core message: that God is One and should be worshipped alone. It examines verses from the Bible and Quran confirming this message of monotheism. The document argues that the concept of the Trinity in Christianity contradicts the clear monotheistic teachings of these scriptures. It concludes by inviting sincere seekers of truth to consider accepting Islam as the final message from God.

This document provides summaries of commentaries and Bible study resources from several authors, including William Barclay, J. Vernon McGee, Warren Wiersbe, and the context and summary of Philippians 4:1-4. It discusses how each author contributed to making biblical scholarship accessible to average readers. It then summarizes the key points from Philippians 4:1-4 about standing firm in the Lord through cultivating harmony, maintaining joy, being content, trusting God through prayer and thinking on good things. The passage discusses Euodia and Syntyche resolving their disagreement to preserve church unity and stability.
Lesson 6 - Relating to the Holy SpiritDanny Medina
The document discusses the importance of relating to the Holy Spirit as a person rather than just an influence, as he is God. It outlines several key points about the Holy Spirit, including that he lives in believers as his temple, seals them as God's children, has a plan for their lives and intercedes for them in prayer. The Holy Spirit also baptizes believers into the body of Christ and wants to use them to testify about Jesus and utilize their spiritual gifts.
LORD JESUS CHRIST makes several claims in the Bible that only God can make, such as forgiving sins, judging mankind, and granting eternal life. He accepts worship from his disciples and others, showing he believed himself to be divine. While Muslims argue Jesus never directly said "I am God, worship me", he made statements that imply divinity, such as claiming to be the "First and the Last" and existing before the world was created. The document examines passages in the Bible and Quran to demonstrate Jesus' deity and that he is worthy of worship as God.
This document outlines a presentation on how to study the Bible personally. It discusses the importance of Bible study for spiritual growth, maturity and effectiveness. The key steps outlined are observation, interpretation and application. Observation involves asking who, what, where, when, why and what questions of the text. Interpretation looks at content, context, comparison, culture and consultation. Application involves relating the meaning to one's own life and practicing it. The presentation uses the example of Mark 4:35-42 and Romans 12:1-2 to demonstrate the process and concludes by encouraging regular Bible study.
The document contains endorsements for a study guide on the doctrine of God called "The One True God" by Paul David Washer. The endorsements praise the work for providing a clear, biblical, and substantive study of God's attributes that will help believers know and worship God more fully.
The biblical account of the fall of Adam can be summarized as follows:
1) God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden, commanding them not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Disobedience would result in death.
2) Satan in the form of a serpent tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. She and Adam disobeyed God.
3) As a result of their sin, Adam and Eve's fellowship with God was broken. They became ashamed and afraid, and were expelled from the garden. God cursed the serpent and pronounced judgment on mankind.
1) The passage discusses the eighth day after the ordination of Aaron and his sons as priests, seen as beginning their formal worship and duties after a period of transition.
2) It describes the first sacrifices performed by Aaron according to God's commands, including a purification offering by Aaron. God's presence appears after the offerings are consumed by divine fire.
3) The passage then describes the death of Nadab and Abihu for bringing unauthorized fire, seen as a sign of God's holiness, and Aaron's silence in response, emphasizing his commitment to his duties as high priest.
For Teenagers: Wonder of the Word - Digging into the wordChris Yeo
This document provides an overview of the Bible and strategies for studying it. It discusses the Bible's structure, including the Old Testament, New Testament, and different book types. Memory verses are selected for students to recite. Methods for digging deeper into scripture are presented, such as the 5W approach using a verse from John 3:16 as an example. Bible reading plans from apps and hard copies are recommended to help students regularly engage with God's word. The importance of reading the Bible is emphasized to gain spiritual strength and guidance.
The document discusses the importance of personal Bible study. It states that the Bible is the only source of divine authority that provides direction, hope, peace, and understanding. Studying the Bible transforms people from earthly to spiritual minds so they can reflect Christ. The benefits of knowing God's word include truth, blessing, victory over sin and temptation, growth, power, and guidance. Regular Bible reading and study helps develop strong Christian character and spiritual fitness through developing the habit of daily reading, starting slow, and meditating on what is read. Personal Bible study is important lifelong work.
This document summarizes the key points from the introduction of a book about overcoming fear through faith. It discusses how:
1) Fear can take hold of anyone, even those with great faith and position like Abraham, but there are different kinds of fear - reverential fear which reveals faith, and terror/dread which the book aims to overcome.
2) The Israelites heard God's promises of deliverance clearly, but it did not benefit them because they did not mix it with faith. Faith is as important as life itself to access God's blessings.
3) A "received thought" or little prelude is enough for fear to manifest. Increasing faith through God's word can overcome fear
This document discusses various world religions and their similarities and differences from Christianity. It focuses on Zoroastrianism in particular. In 3 sentences:
The document notes that while religions have different beliefs and practices, they share common foundations of morality and ethics. It explores the similarities between Zoroastrian teachings and those in the Bible. The author maintains that Christianity is the one true path to salvation, though there are aspects of other faiths that can be learned from.
Examining the reality of ’the original sin’Noor Al Islam
This document summarizes and refutes the Christian doctrine of "original sin" in 20 arguments. It discusses the doctrine's claims that 1) Adam's sin was inherited by all humans, 2) God's justice requires a blood penalty for sin, and 3) Jesus sacrificed himself to pay the price for humanity's sins. The arguments presented are that the doctrine lacks scriptural basis, contradicts God's attributes of mercy and forgiveness, and is logically flawed. It concludes that the concept of inheriting sin or requiring sacrifice for forgiveness has no place in Islamic teachings.
This document summarizes a lesson about conversing with God through prayer. It discusses how prayer can be either instinctive monologues or spiritual dialogues where we get to know God. Spiritual prayer focuses on God rather than what we want from God. It also explores how God is a personal being made of three persons who love each other, and how they communicated through words. Christian prayer sees God as transcendent, so we look to God in prayer rather than looking within. Speaking words to God in prayer allows for depth, as He speaks to us through words. Both conscious prayer using words and times of quiet listening to God are important aspects of conversing with Him.
The document discusses the history of chocolate, from its origins in Mesoamerica to its popularity in Europe. It details how the Maya and Aztecs cultivated the cocoa bean and used it in drinks. The Spanish conquest brought cocoa and chocolate drinks to Europe in the 16th century, where it became a popular luxury item. Over time, chocolate became more widely consumed as the process for making chocolate bars was developed.

The questionnaire about music magazine preferences was distributed primarily to teenagers in a college environment. The most popular music genres were pop/R&B and rock/heavy metal, with pop being more popular among females and rock among males. 50% of respondents said they would pay between £2-4 for a music magazine. Most respondents were male, reflecting the gender makeup of the college location where the questionnaires were conducted. When asked the most paid for a magazine in the past, responses were evenly split between £0-2 and £2-4, indicating people generally pay what they say they are willing to pay or slightly more.
This document provides an introduction and table of contents for a book about the Prophet Muhammad. It discusses how Muslims consider the Prophet to be the greatest individual in history due to his excellent character, ethics, humility as a leader, concern for others, and devotion to worshipping God. It also shares an anecdote from a non-Muslim scholar who recognized the Prophet's greatness due to these qualities he possessed all at once, such as being a leader who lived in poverty and preferred peace.
1. The document discusses the misconceptions around the terms "fundamentalist" and "terrorist" when used to describe Muslims.
2. It argues that being a fundamentalist of any faith means following its principles, and that Muslims should be fundamentalists who follow Islam's principles of peace, justice, and opposing oppression.
3. The document also argues that Islam was not spread by the sword, citing historians and pointing out that many non-Muslim populations remained in Muslim-ruled lands for centuries.

This document discusses the "Just One Message" that has been conveyed throughout history by prophets including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad. The one message is that God is One and should be worshipped alone without any partners. The document examines passages from the Bible and Quran that affirm the oneness of God. It argues that believing God is three-in-one or associating other divine beings with God contradicts the clear monotheistic message found in the holy scriptures. In conclusion, it reiterates that all major religious texts confirm there is only one God, and any supposed deities besides the one God are false beliefs.
This document discusses the holiness of God according to Scripture. It begins by establishing the Bible as the source of truth about God's nature and character. It then explores what holiness means - to be set apart or different in a special way. Several Bible examples are given that show people reacting to encounters with God's holiness with fear, trembling, and repentance as they are confronted with their own sinfulness in comparison. The document emphasizes that God's holiness is consistently portrayed this way throughout both the Old and New Testaments.
The document discusses the "Just One Message" conveyed by prophets throughout history - that there is only one God worthy of worship. It presents verses from the Bible and Quran affirming God's oneness. The Old Testament declares God is one Lord, as does Jesus in the New Testament. The Quran strongly rejects associating any partners with God. While Christians claim God is three in one, the document argues this contradicts biblical verses saying no one has seen God. It concludes the oneness of God was the essential message of prophets, and believing in other deities provoked God's anger.
Christian Apologetics: Answering the Hard Questions: Notes and Power Pointevidenceforchristianity
Here are 3 key passages that show Jesus is fully God:
1. Jesus is called God. In Hebrews 1:8, God says to the Son, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever."
2. Jesus possesses the divine attributes. In John 1:1-3, Jesus is identified as the eternal Word who was with God in the beginning and through whom all things were created. This shows Jesus shares in God's divine nature and attributes.
3. Jesus claims full equality with God. In John 10:30, Jesus declares, "I and the Father are one." His Jewish opponents understood this as a claim to full deity, which is why they tried to stone Him for bl
After the creation of Adam, just one original message has been repeatedly delivered to mankind throughout the history of humanity.
Thus, to remind people about it and bring them back on track, many prophets and messengers including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad were sent by the only true God to convey this message :
The true God is only ONE.

keep His commandments

Just One Message : is a book to those who seek the truth sincerely, honestly, and open-mindedly.
Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness, where he fasted and was tempted by the devil for 40 days. When he was hungry, the devil tempted him to turn stones into bread. However, Jesus resisted this temptation by quoting scripture that says "man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God." He demonstrated how to overcome temptation through being filled with the Holy Spirit and relying on God's word rather than human desires.
This document provides an overview of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. It begins by describing how Jesus originally called ordinary men to follow him and how this changed their lives. It then defines a disciple as a student or follower who imitates their teacher. The document explains that to become a disciple of Jesus, one must repent of their sins and trust in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross to be saved. It emphasizes that salvation is by grace alone, not works, and that believing Jesus is Lord means viewing him as the master and owner of one's life.
The document discusses the biblical evidence for the Trinity - the concept that God exists as three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) in one Godhead. It provides scriptural references showing that God is simultaneously one entity and three persons. The document examines passages that reference the deity of each person - Jesus, the Holy Spirit - as well as their unity and equality as God. The Trinity, while complex, is crucial to understanding the nature of God and the plan of salvation.
This document discusses fully surrendering one's will to God and honoring Jesus as Lord. It makes several key points:
1. True holiness is not just spiritual ecstasy but entirely surrendering one's will to God in both good and bad times.
2. Jesus humbled Himself and surrendered His will to God the Father, even to the point of dying on the cross. He is now exalted as Lord over all.
3. To honor Jesus as Lord means letting Him be in control of one's life, like being in the driver's seat of a car. It challenges the reader to surrender anything they are still holding back from giving to Jesus.
4. The
Christians and Muslims both believe in Jesus, love him,
and honor him. They are, however, divided over the
question of his divinity. Fortunately, this difference can be
resolved if we refer the question to both the Bible and the
Qur'an, because, both the Bible and the Qur'an teach that
Jesus is not God.

Top 5 reasons Jesus(as) is not the begotten son of god. 1Xenia Y
This document outlines 5 reasons why Jesus is not the begotten son of God according to certain theological perspectives. Reason 1 argues that the term "begotten" implies procreation which cannot apply to God. Reason 2 states the doctrine was developed at the Council of Nicaea and was criticized. Reason 3 notes another biblical figure was called God's begotten son. Reason 4 argues inconsistencies in translation of key terms. Reason 5 questions how Jesus can be both eternal and God's son. The document urges readers to search for truth and not follow beliefs blindly.

This document is an excerpt from a book titled "Why I Chose Islam" by Saalih al-Fawzaan that recounts the journey of a man named Thomas from Christianity to Islam. It describes how Thomas was raised Catholic but struggled with the Christian doctrine of the Holy Trinity, finding it illogical. When he discussed his doubts with religious leaders and scholars, they told him it was a matter of faith rather than reason. This caused Thomas further distress and led him to question other aspects of Christianity.

The original message of Christianity affirmed monotheism and proclaimed Jesus as a prophet. However, over time Christianity incorporated beliefs that deviated from monotheism, such as the divinity of Jesus as the son of God or part of a holy trinity. The document examines whether these current Christian beliefs are supported by the original teachings of Jesus in the Torah and Gospels or represent a divergence from the original message.

This document provides a summary of the key beliefs and teachings of Islam according to the author. It discusses:
1) Islam as the complete and final message from God that does not require any additions or deletions.
2) The main rights and purposes of humanity according to Islam, including worshipping God alone.
3) Core Islamic concepts like Tawheed (monotheism), knowledge, righteousness, interactions, lawful/unlawful acts.
4) Rejecting deviations from Islam and emphasizing correct beliefs and practices.
5) The importance of migration, Jihad for the spread of monotheism, and establishing Islamic communities and law.
This document provides an introduction and overview of the concept of God in major world religions according to Dr. Zakir Naik's book. It begins by defining religion and explaining that all major religions believe in a supreme divine authority. It then categorizes the world's religions into Semitic, non-Semitic, Aryan, and non-Aryan religions. The document focuses on analyzing the concept of God in Hinduism by examining verses from Hindu scriptures like the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads that affirm the oneness of God, and comparing this concept to the Islamic concept of God.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is described through accounts of those who knew him personally. He adhered strictly to monotheism and forbade practices like gambling, drinking, and usury. He advocated for social justice, establishing rights for women, the poor, and former slaves. Though facing opposition, the Prophet responded to curses with prayer and kindness, exemplifying patience, humility and virtue in all his dealings.
This document introduces Islam as the solution to many of the problems facing modern society. It summarizes that despite technological advances, the world is experiencing tumultuous times with extreme wealth inequality, environmental destruction, and social issues like drug/alcohol abuse, violence, and family breakdown. It then explains how Islam provides remedies for these issues by prohibiting alcohol/drugs, interest-based lending, revealing dress, and promoting charity. The document argues Islam establishes a just economic system and moral code that protects society if fully implemented.
The document provides an overview of the true religion of God according to Islam. It discusses three key points:
1) The name of the religion, Islam, means submission to God and was chosen by God, unlike other religions whose names were given later by people.
2) Islam teaches a unique relationship between God, humanity, and creation with God as the sole creator and humanity's role as vicegerents submitting to God.
3) Islam is universally attainable by all people at all times, a requirement for a true religion from God.
The document argues these three points demonstrate why Islam's claim to be the true religion of God is valid according to logic and reason. It provides a high-
The document provides instructions on how to become a Muslim by reciting the Shahadah, which declares belief that there is no deity but God, and Muhammad is His messenger. It explains the meaning of the Shahadah, emphasizing Tawheed (unity of God) and that all prophets called to this belief. One enters Islam by uttering the Shahadah with understanding of its meaning, believing God is the only one worthy of worship.

This document provides a summary of the contents of a book that aims to provide a brief guide to understanding Islam. It outlines the chapters and topics that will be covered, including evidence for the truth of Islam such as scientific miracles in the Quran, prophecies about Muhammad, and the phenomenal growth of Islam despite facing adversity. It also previews discussions of Islamic beliefs, benefits of Islam, pillars of practice, and answers to frequently asked questions about topics such as women, justice, terrorism, and Jesus.
The document discusses the unity of prophethood across religions. It argues that the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) affirm that messenger prophets walked the earth in successive periods with messages from God. It cites Quranic verses indicating prophets like Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and others received revelation. The document argues this establishes prophethood as a concept and confirms Muhammad as a prophet, since his message was in line with prior revelations. It aims to show the oneness of the basic principles of prophethood across religions.
The document provides an introduction to analyzing the Quran from a scientific perspective. It discusses how the Quran contains descriptions of the sea that would not be expected from a desert dweller. It also notes that the Quran describes the smallest particle as being smaller than an atom, which was a novel concept centuries before modern discoveries. The document argues that analyzing the Quran scientifically is valid because, unlike other religious texts, it provides a way to test whether claims are wrong or right.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

Jesus said, “Seek the truth,
and the truth will set you free.”
As a seeker of the truth and a
student of life, and after many years of
observation, research and comparative
study, it appears to me that people often
base their beliefs and judgments on weak,
sandy foundations, rather than on the solid
foundation of rock that Jesus
recommended.
Concerning the topic at hand, I have
noticed some major differences between
what is commonly and officially
understood about God in Christianity, and
what the Bible itself states!
6. What is His Nature? 6
In this booklet, I would like to share
with you -out of love and concern- what I
have noticed and learned throughmy
continuous journey of research, analysis,
and study.
The intent of this work is to
honestly and sincerely present the truth
that I found, not to hurt the feelings of
anyone.
Now let us turn to discuss some
issues and questions concerning the nature
of God in Christianity, namely the Trinity
and divinity of Jesus.
7. What is His Nature? 7
Is God One or Three?
Is Jesus God or Part of God?
What do you think?
What is your answer?
Let’s get the answer from the Bible:
8. What is His Nature? 8
• One came and said unto him, Good
Master, what good thing shall I do,
that I may have eternal life? And
he (Jesus) said unto him, Why
callest thoume good*? There is
none good but one, that is, God.
But if thou wilt enter into life, keep
the commandments.
(Matthew 19:16-17)
* Why callest thou me good? Or in modern
English, “Why do you call me good?” We
wouldn’t find this wording and meaning in some
Bibles! This text is found in King James Version.
Don’t take my word for it! Check your Bible!
9. What is His Nature? 9
Several questions can be asked about
the above verses. Some of the more
intuitive ones are:
“Why do you call me good?” Why
did Jesus question his own
goodness?
Jesus emphatically stated that “there
is none good but one, that is, God.”
Why did he refer to the one God as
the “good” one only?
Why did he exclude himself from
being good, if he were God?
Jesus explicitly pointed out that “if
thou wilt enter into life, keep the
commandments.” Why didn’t Jesus
command the questioner to believe
10. What is His Nature? 10
in him (Jesus) as God in order to
enter into eternal life?
Based on Jesus’ testimony, isn’t
keeping the commandments enough
for getting eternal life?
Now, let us re-read the verses of
Matthew (19: 16-17) as stated in King
James Version and the same verses as
reported in the New International Version
of the Holy Bible.
11. What is His Nature? 11
• One came and said unto him, Good
Master, what good thing shall I do,
that I may have eternal life? And he
said unto him, Why callest thou me
good? There is none good but one,
that is, God.
(In King James Version)
• Now a man came up to Jesus and
asked, “Teacher, what good thing
must I do to get eternal life?”
“Why do you ask me about what is
good?” Jesus replied.
“There is only One who is good. If
you want to enter life, obey the
commandments.”
(In the New International Version)
12. What is His Nature? 12
To make it easy to compare, here are
Jesus’ two different questions:
According to King James Version (KJV),
in simple English, Jesus asked:
• Why do you CALL ME GOOD?
But, according to the New International
Version (NIV), Jesus said:
• Why do you ASK ME ABOUT
WHAT IS GOOD?
Please honestly compare between
Jesus’ question in the King James Version
and his question in the New International
Version. Do they have the same meaning?
Can they both be correct?
13. What is His Nature? 13
Going back to the critical question,
Is Jesus God?, I think that if Jesus were
God or part of God, his logical response
would be to approve of what the questioner
called him (i.e., “Good Master”).
Sound reasoning and plain logic tell
us that God is good. And if Jesus were
God or part of God (part of the Trinity) he
MUST BE GOOD! Don’t you agree?
Presumably, some of the possible,
expected responses that Jesus could utter
in response to the young man saying
“Good Master” include:
14. What is His Nature? 14
“Certainly, I am good, for I am
God.”
“You are right. I am good.”
Or at least, knowing that he was
obviously good, being God or a
manifestation of God, Jesus could
have answered the young man
without taking issue with his words
by saying:
“if thou wilt enter into life, keep the
commandments.”
But, astonishingly, Jesus responded
to the young man’s words “Good Master”
with something unexpected! He denied
that he was good, wondering, “Why do
you call me good?”
15. What is His Nature? 15
So, instead of denying his goodness,
wouldn’t it have been more reasonable for
Jesus to seize this occasion and
acknowledge that he was good, since he
was God or a manifestation of the one
God, if such were the case? Why would he
refer to the true God alone, and not reveal
his own ‘good’ divinity? Was he hiding
the truth about himself from the
questioner?
Now this is life eternal, that they
know you, the ONLY true God, and
Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
(John 17: 3)
In this verse, Jesus again
distinguishes himself from the ONLY true
God! It is this only true God who created
and sent Jesus. So, who has the full
16. What is His Nature? 16
authority to command and send? The
ONLY true God or Jesus? Who is
greater, the one who orders and sends
or the one who is ordered and sent?
There is One God and one mediator
between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2: 5)
This verse points to two identities:
(1) one God, and (2) one mediator (Jesus)!
Jesus is described as “the man.” The verse
did not call him “the God Christ Jesus." In
fact, nowhere in the Bible is Jesus called
God!
To further discuss and answer the
question, Is Jesus God or part of God?, let
us carefully, critically, and objectively read
17. What is His Nature? 17
the following parts of verses reported in
Matthew 4: 1-10.
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit
into the desert to be tempted by the
devil.
After fasting forty days and forty
nights, he was hungry.
Again, the devil took him to a very
high mountain and showed him all
the kingdoms of the world and their
splendor.
And he (the devil) said to him
(Jesus), "All these I will give you, if
you will fall down and worship
me.”
Did these verses trigger any questions
or thoughts in your mind?
18. What is His Nature? 18
Let me share with you some of the
questions and thoughts that stroke my
mind after reading the above verses:
1) The Bible says, “Jesus was led by the
Spirit into the desert…” I wonder who
has more authority and more power,
Jesus or the Spirit? Why didn’t Jesus
lead himself to the desert if he were
God? Does God need someone to lead
Him?
2) Based on the testimony of the above
verses, the devil (Satan) tempted Jesus
who is considered to be God by some
Christians. The simple and logical
question that could be raised is: Can
God be tempted?
19. What is His Nature? 19
The same Bible tells us that God
can’t be tempted! This fact is uttered by
Jesus in the same story of temptation.
Similarly, James, the brother of Jesus, said:
“God cannot be tempted by evil, and
he himself tempts no one.”
(James 1: 13)
3) The Bible reports that “After fasting
forty days and forty nights, he (Jesus)
was hungry.” Let’s reason together:
Does God fast?
To whom was Jesus fasting? To
himself as God or to someone who is
greater than him?
Does God feel hungry or thirsty?
20. What is His Nature? 20
4) In the story of ‘the temptation of Jesus’
(you find this heading in several Bibles), we
came to discover that the devil (Satan)
moved and controlled Jesus! Did Satan
do that with Jesus the man or Jesus the
God? If Satan did that with Jesus the
man, what is the point? And if the devil
did that with Jesus the God, can God be
tried, moved, and controlled? Let’s
remember James’ words, “God cannot be
tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no
one.”
At the end of the dialogue between
Jesus and Satan and after Satan asked
Jesus to “fall down and worship” him,
Jesus said to the devil:
Worship the Lord your God, and serve
Him only.” (Matthew 4: 10)
21. What is His Nature? 21
I assume, if Jesus were God
incarnate, he might have easily responded,
“No, Satan. It is you who must fall down
and worship me, your God!” But instead
he invoked the above scripture about
worshipping the true God ONLY.
On the other hand, we learned from the
story that :
Satan SAW Jesus.
Satan SAID TO Jesus.
Satan HEARD Jesus.
Satan TOOK Jesus.
Satan SHOWED Jesus.
Satan SPOKE WITH Jesus.
(Please read the whole story of the
temptation of Jesus, Matthew 4: 1-10).
22. What is His Nature? 22
But, the Bible emphatically indicates
that GOD CANNOT BE SEEN OR
HEARD.
No one has ever seen him. And no
one can see him. (1 Timothy 6: 16)
You have never heard His voice nor
seen His shape. (John 5: 37)
Now to the King eternal, immortal,
invisible, the only God, be honor
and glory forever and ever. Amen.
(1 Timothy 1: 17)
Additionally, before I conclude this
section, let me ask: During Jesus’ life on
23. What is His Nature? 23
earth didn’t his family, people, and
followers see and hear him?
Therefore, according to the
description of God in the above verses,
Jesus cannot be God. Isn’t this reasonable
and logical? So, what is the truth? Think
about it!
Now let us turn to discuss
other critical question.
24. What is His Nature? 24
Are God the Father, God the Son,
and God the Holy Spirit EQUAL?
Is God the Son (Jesus) EQUAL
with God the Father?
Is God the Son (Jesus) EQUAL
with God the Holy Spirit?
God the Father
Are
They
Equal?
God the Son God the H.S.
Let us see what Jesus himself says:
25. What is His Nature? 25
My Father is greater than I (Jesus).
(John 14: 28)
My Father, who gave them to me, is
greater than all. (John 10: 29)
What I teach is not my own
teaching, but it comes from God,
who sent me. (John 7: 16)
I can of my own self do nothing: as
I hear, I judge: and my judgment is
just; because I seek not my own
will, but the will of the Father who
has sent me. (John 5: 30)
26. What is His Nature? 26
No one knows, however, when that
day or hour will come—neither the
angels in heaven, nor the Son; only
the Father knows. (Mark 13: 32)
Anyone who says something
against the Son of man can be
forgiven, but whoever says
something against the Holy Spirit
will not be forgiven- now or ever.
(Matthew 12: 32)
After reading these clear-cut
statements as well as many others spoken
by Jesus himself, what can we conclude?
27. What is His Nature? 27
Based on Jesus’ honest and frank
testimony that the only true God (the
Father) is greater than him and greater than
the Holy Spirit, that what he teaches is not
his, that he and the Holy Spirit know
nothing about the last day, and that he can
do nothing of himself, a sincere seeker of
the truth should accept what Jesus says
about himself and not make him God or
the equal of God!
Let me discuss another significant
question.
28. What is His Nature? 28
Is Jesus the only son of God?
Let us get the answer from the Bible:
Adam is the son of God. (Luke 3: 38)
Israel is My first-born son.
(Exodus 4: 22)
The Lord has said unto me, thou
art my Son; this day have I
begotten thee.” (Psalms 2: 7, KJV).
So, according to the Bible, and
announced by the Father himself, David is
another begotten Son {with a capital ‘S’}!
29. What is His Nature? 29
Blessed are the peacemakers, for
they will be called sons of God.
(Matthew 5:9)
Tracing this title “son of God” in the
Bible, we can find many “sons of God”
and that Jesus is not the only son.
It can be concluded that the Bible
uses this title “son of God” figuratively to
mean righteous, pious, selected, or godly
(God-conscious).
THIS LEADS US TO THE CRUCIAL
QUESTION WHICH WE MUST ASK!
30. What is His Nature? 30
So, who was Jesus?
After discussing evidence from the
Bible that God is One, NOT THREE,
that Jesus is not God or part of God,
that he is not equal with God, and that
he is not the son of God in the literal
sense, we must ask: So, who was Jesus?
Jesus the man
The times that Jesus is referred to as
‘man’ or ‘son of man’ in the Bible are
many. Below are just some verses:
Ye men of Israel, hear these words;
Jesus of Nazareth, was a man
approved of God among you by
miracles, wonders, and signs.
(Acts 2: 22)
31. What is His Nature? 31
These words were uttered by Peter, a
very dear friend and follower of Jesus, and
he witnessed things closely.
The Son of man came eating and
drinking. (Matthew 11: 19)
This man is really the Prophet.
(John 7: 40)
Now ye seek to kill me, a MAN that
hath told you the truth, which I
have heard of God. (John 8: 40 --
King James Version, some Bibles do not
reveal this truth! Check your Bible!).
At this critical moment of his life,
Jesus testified himself that he is “a man.”
Why didn’t he clearly and openly say:
32. What is His Nature? 32
“Now you seek to kill me, God incarnate,
who has told you the truth.” Is it possible
that he was hiding the truth?
Jesus the Prophet
This is Jesus the prophet of
Nazareth. (Matthew 21: 11)
Jesus said, “A prophet is never
accepted in his home town."
(Luke 4: 24)
I tell you the truth, no servant is
greater than his master, nor is a
messenger greater than the one
who sent him. (John 13: 16)
33. What is His Nature? 33
Surely this is the prophet who is to
come into the world. (John 6: 14)
Jesus, who was a prophet…
(Luke 24: 19)
These are just some of the many
Biblical verses which point out that Jesus
was a prophet and a messenger of the
one true God! Again, nowhere in the
Bible he is called God.
A final critical and significant piece
of information about Jesus!
34. What is His Nature? 34
“In his life on earth Jesus made his prayers
and requests with loud cries and tears to God,
who could save him from death. Because he
was humble and devoted, God heard him.”
(Hebrews 5:7)
What are the implications and
conclusions that we can derive
from the above-cited Biblical
texts?
35. What is His Nature? 35
Conclusion:
The above statements from the Bible
form a coherent message that there is only
one God. “ … I am the only God. Besides
me there is no other god; there never was
and never will be. I alone am the LORD,
the only one who can save you” (Isaiah 43:
10-11). “I am the Lord your God and I
tolerate no partners.” (Exodus 20: 5)
Hundreds of similar statements
occur in the Bible, as compared to just a
few which contradict them.*
*Please see the notes following these conclusions.
36. What is His Nature? 36
The recurrent theme is that Jesus is
the prophet of the only true God, who
created Jesus, created us, and created all
things.
Approaching the end of this journey
of seeking the truth, I would like to leave
with you some questions to think about!
Isn’t it time to put things in their
right places?
Isn’t it time to place Jesus in his
right and respected position as only
a man and a prophet of the one true
God?
Isn’t it time to turn to our only true
God, the Creator, and worship Him
alone before it is too late (before
death!)?
37. What is His Nature? 37
Notes:
* It is believed by a growing number
of Biblical scholars that it was Paul (born
in 5 A. D.!) who reshaped the major
beliefs in Christianity, including the
divinity and sonship of Jesus, original sin,
crucifixion, salvation through the blood of
Jesus, etc. Furthermore, it is widely
accepted by these scholars that Paul wrote
his letters before the four gospels, which
were later colored and influenced by Paul’s
beliefs and teachings. The difference
between Paul’s teachings and Jesus’
original message contributed to the
considerable confusion we find today
about the nature of God. For more
information about this, please refer to my
upcoming article, What Went Wrong?

A final thought…
After reading this booklet carefully,
critically, and open-mindedly; a sincere,
honest, and serious seeker of the truth
might raise questions like:
So, What is the truth?
Who is the true God?
What is His true message?
What went wrong?
These questions and others will be
discussed in upcoming writings,
God willing.
