Choose a Niche
● Get a list of industries and choose a
niche for your Digital Marketing
Agency.
Naming and Paperwork
● Choose a name for the Digital
Agency and register it
● Set up social media accounts and
website
Content Creation
● Start creating blogs, social media
posts, a newsletter, etc.
Sales Strategies
● Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to add
50-100 people per day in the niche
● Don't sell, but provide value to
potential clients
Follow a Program
● Choose a program to learn how to
get clients and keep them
● Follow the person who leads that
program and read their books (if they
have any). Consume all their free
content.
Get First Clients
● Aim to get two clients and then get
the chosen program
First Hire
● Once you have three clients, get the
first hire
● Start with a local hire, but
work-from-home
Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs)
● Document everything and train staff
on SOPs as you grow.
Podcasting
● Start a podcast for your chosen
niche
● Start another one where you
interview agency owners
Get an Office
● Once you have four clients, get an
office
Summary
● Get a list of industries - pick a niche.
● Choose a name for the agency and start making social media accounts/a
website based on that niche. Go ahead and do all the paperwork right
before/alongside this step.
● Start making content - blog, social media, Medium, and a newsletter.
● Get LinkedIn Sales Navigator and start adding around 50-100 people in
the niche per day - don’t sell but provide value.
● Choose a program that is aimed at helping you get clients and keeping
them - follow the person who leads that program, read his/her books (if
there are any), etc.
● Get 2 clients - at that point get that program.
● At the 3rd client, assuming it’s at least $1,500/month clients, start getting
the first hire. Make sure it’s a local hire, but start off work-from-home.
● Document everything. Then start training staff on the SOPs as you get
more staff.
● Start a podcast for the niche. Start another podcast for successful
agency owners (and interview them as the experts).
● Get an office at the 4th client.
