1. What is Juvenile Crime:-
Juvenile crime or delinquency occurs when a minor (a person under the legal age)
participates in illegal behavior/acts. A juvenile offender, who is brought before
the courts, and charged for an act that would be classed as a crime if he/she was
an adult, are normally not criminally responsible for their actions due to infancy.
They can be placed in government-run detention centers designed for minors.
However, for simple or minor offences, they can be released into the custody of
their parents, but, depending on the severity of the crime committed, the youth
could also be tried as an adult in a criminal court.
