Nik hypothesized that zinc would dissolve most in vinegar because zinc is the softest metal and vinegar is the most acidic liquid. After testing zinc, silver, brass, and a quarter in vinegar, baking soda, Coke, and saltwater for 5 and 10 days, Nik found that zinc completely dissolved in vinegar, turning pink. Vinegar also corroded the other metals, though not as much as zinc. This supported that vinegar is the most acidic and corrodes metals the most.
