Whereas in the spring of 2010 only about a quarter of the top-100 TV advertisers were identified as having an official (German-language) Facebook presence, just one year later it was evident that the world's largest social network had attracted a far greater proportion of those companies. Working with the same selection method, in April 2011 we identified that half (75) of the companies and brands serving as our basis had official fan pages, of which almost half (30) were less than a year old. This was based on the top 150 TV advertising spenders in the first quarter of the year.
Key issues for the second Trend Report:
- Review and improvement of the benchmarks identified in 2010:
- Re-evaluation of the different strategic patterns in the use of Facebook as a communication channel.
- Review of the following hypotheses:
1. Fan pages for brands and companies show declining interaction rates in 2011.
2. The typology of communication strategies displays a shift towards dialogue-oriented forms.
3. The differences in the interaction rates are industry- and size-specific.
4. Brands communicate their Facebook presence more frequently in other communications channels such as TV commercials and corporate web sites than was the case a year ago.
This document describes a study that examined the impact of music on 4th and 5th grade students' performance on the PACER test, enjoyment of the test, and perceived workload. The study involved 72 students completing the PACER test under three conditions: with high-tempo music, mild-tempo music, or no music. After each test, students completed a survey to self-rate their performance, work effort, enjoyment of the music if present, and whether the music motivated them. The results would provide insight into how music affects physical activity in physical education programs.

This document discusses how big data can enable innovation. It begins by explaining what big data is not, such as not being a single new method or directly leading to innovation. It then discusses what can be expected from big data analytics, including real-time and past time analyses. Next, it explores how big data can fuel innovation when incorporated into the innovation process. The document uses customer behavior data from electric vehicle charging sessions to demonstrate cluster analysis of user types and patterns. Metrics like time ratio and kWh charged are analyzed spatially to identify potential applications like peak shaving. In under 3 sentences, this document discusses how big data analytics can provide insights into customer behavior and help identify opportunities for innovation when incorporated into product development processes.

Cushman & Wakefield has published a new report exploring the role of sustainability in real estate investment decisions in the UK and continental Europe and how it impacts on business strategies.
The document discusses several key properties related to identity and equality in mathematics. It defines:
- The additive identity as 0, since the sum of any number and 0 is equal to the number.
- The multiplicative identity as 1, since the product of any number and 1 is equal to the number.
- The multiplicative property of zero, where the product of any number and 0 is equal to 0.
- Multiplicative inverses or reciprocals as two numbers whose product is 1. Zero has no reciprocal.
It also discusses properties of equality like reflexive, symmetric, and transitive properties and using substitution.
This document discusses a strategic marketing case study. It highlights the company's unique selling point, shared technologies across its product portfolio, and lessons that can be learned. The company offers a diverse range of products including hotels, car rentals, and food services at a range of price points targeted at different age groups. Technologies and systems are shared across business units for dynamic packaging, booking engines, reservations, ticketing, and market data and analysis. Successful expansion strategies identified include horizontal and vertical acquisitions that leverage existing operational structures while optimizing and redefining market segmentation.

The document provides an overview of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, including its meaning and purpose. Some key points:
- Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar during which Muslims fast from dawn to dusk. It commemorates the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad.
- Fasting cultivates "taqwa," or consciousness of God, through self-restraint and experiencing hunger. It has spiritual, physical and social benefits like feeling solidarity with the poor.

- The fast is meant
The document discusses technology-based programs for youth at public libraries to help develop 21st century skills. It provides examples of Scratch coding classes at the Wilmette Public Library where kids in grades 5-9 work individually and collaboratively on projects. The library also offers other programs like Comic Life and stop-motion animation. Contact information is provided for the Youth Services Librarian to discuss implementing these types of technology programs.

Effective interactive stories make participation easy and meaningful through layered storytelling that motivates both casual and dedicated fans.
The document discusses Westin's lifestyle strategy change and recommendations. It summarizes that Westin wants to change its lifestyle strategy based on motivational factors like those in Maslow's hierarchy of needs model. It then provides three levels of recommendations - strategic, tactical, and operational - to implement this change. The document also examines the evolution of marketing communication strategies from Web 1.0 to Web 3.0 and how this applies to the hospitality industry.
The document discusses processes and threads. It defines processes as independent sequential programs and threads as components of a process that can execute concurrently. It describes how processes are created, terminated, and form hierarchies. Process states like running, blocked, and ready are also discussed. The implementation of processes using a process table is covered. The document then defines the thread model and how threads in a process can share and have private resources. Examples of multithreaded applications like a word processor and web server are provided. Different methods for implementing threads in user space and kernel space are described.
Elements, compounds, and mixtures are discussed. Elements are pure substances that cannot be broken down further, while compounds are formed when two or more elements are chemically bonded together. Compounds have unique properties and can be broken down into their constituent elements through chemical or electrolytic processes. Elements are classified as metals, nonmetals, or metalloids based on their physical properties such as conductivity.

The moon appears to change shapes throughout the month as it orbits Earth. During a new moon, the side facing Earth is not illuminated so the moon is not visible. A full moon occurs when the entire side facing Earth is illuminated, appearing as a bright circle in the night sky. The waxing and waning crescent moons occur in between the new and full phases as the illuminated portion grows larger or smaller each night.
