The Issue
•Discrimination of
children with
disabilities in
schools
Our goal
• help teachers and
students understand
children with disabilities
better and stop
discrimination
So,
• We started with a questionnaire
about discrimination, there were
30 high school students that
anonymously have agreed to help
us, we identified the most
common answers.
1) Do you know anybody with
disabilities?

• Yes-80%
• 2) If yes, how old is that
person?
–15-65%
3) Do you think schools in Moldova
discriminate children with disabilities?
• Yes-56.7%
• No-43,3%
• 4) If yes, why?
– Indifference
– Disrespect
– The society is not ready to accept
different people (nr.1 answer)
5) Have you ever discriminated people
with disabilities?
• No-83.3%; there were 5 people
that did not answer this question
• 6) What is the main cause of
discrimination in your opinion?
– No education (nr.1 answer)
– Indifference
– Ignorance
7) What would you do, if you had a friend with
disabilities and he/she was discriminated?
• I would protect him from that by trying
to inform people about his disability
• 8) What do you think students should do
to stop discrimination?
– To become friends with the one
discriminated(nr.1 answer)
– To help
– To explain to the other children that we’re all
the same
9) How about teachers?
• To explain to the children the consequences of
discrimination- 73.3%
• 10) Have you ever seen discrimination
regarding people with disabilities? If yes,
where?
– Yes- 43.3%
– In the school and public transportation
Our conclusions:
• Our society is intolerant towards people
with disabilities
• The main cause of this is because people are
not being educated about inclusion and
disabilities at an early age
Solutions
• Make lessons for children about
discrimination and disabilities at
least once a year
• Invite children with disabilities to
talk about themselves
• Include all the children in
activities
• Promote friendship between everybody
with different games and seminar
• Make a Moldovan movie about
discrimination in our society
All different-all equal
Together we can make
a better world. For
everyone. (Vlad’s
response to our project)
