2. Sensex to hit 21,000 mark on Diwali
The Bombay Stock Exchange's benchmark
Sensex is likely to hit the much awaited
psychological level of 21,000 in the next
week, driven by the smart RIL numbers and
expectations of robust listing of the Coal
India IPO
Sensex, which saw a subdued performance
last week by shedding 0.66 per cent, mainly
on account of tight liquidity, may bounce
back by surging over a staggering 1,000
points.

notwithstanding a temporary sliding growth
curve," says a study by the Confederation of
Indian Industry (CII) and Ernst and Young (E
and Y).

5. Bharti AXA gen insurance to infuse Rs 60 cr by
Oct: Official
"We plan to infuse Rs 60 crore capital this
month end that will take the total to Rs 460
crore. Over the next two years we, Bharti and
joint venture partner AXA, will infuse Rs 200
crore or more in line with the ratio of our
stakeholding," Bharti AXA general insurance
CEO and Managing Director Amarnath
Ananthanarayanan told PTI on the sidelines
of a function here.
Bharti AXA is a joint venture between Bharti
that holds 74 per cent equity and AXA with 26
per cent.

6. Rupee snaps 3-day fall on late share boost
The rupee snapped a three-day losing streak
on Friday buoyed by a late rise in local
shares, which continued to keep up hopes
for more foreign fund inflows, but broad
dollar strength capped further gains. The
partially convertible rupee closed at 44.43/44
per dollar, 0.2% stronger than its 44.52/53
previous close.
