Study: The Future of VR, AR and Self-Driving CarsLinkedIn
We asked LinkedIn members worldwide about their levels of interest in the latest wave of technology: whether they’re using wearables, and whether they intend to buy self-driving cars and VR headsets as they become available. We asked them too about their attitudes to technology and to the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the devices that they use. The answers were fascinating – and in many cases, surprising.
This SlideShare explores the full results of this study, including detailed market-by-market breakdowns of intention levels for each technology – and how attitudes change with age, location and seniority level. If you’re marketing a tech brand – or planning to use VR and wearables to reach a professional audience – then these are insights you won’t want to miss.

Navigating the Employee Lifecycle: Designing Equitable Performance - How to C...Aggregage
We are all susceptible to bias and strive to mitigate it through reading, taking classes, and participating in trainings - yet, it seems like these aren’t driving the change we need. Women tend to receive vague, personality-based feedback, where men tend to receive performance related feedback. Work completed by Black men is more likely to be rated as lower quality than White men. And Black women face these overlapping biases in even more extreme ways. So what can we do to address the inequities in the system? Look at the system itself - are we designing an equitable performance system that benefits everyone? Join Culture Amp’s Global Head of Equitable Design and Impact, Aubrey Blanche, along with Diversity, Equity, and Belonging Lead Sahra Kaboli-Nejad, to discuss how we can re-evaluate our performance management systems. We will discuss the benefits of designing a system at every level (individual, manager, and organization) to help mitigate bias and ultimately create a system that finally succeeds at what it is supposed to do - improve performance.

Ozfone, an Australian telecommunications company, has implemented a hybrid work model allowing employees to work both remotely and in the office. However, the approach has caused problems including managers holding an unconscious bias that remote workers work less. As a result, employees feel micromanaged and the company culture has deteriorated. The HR team wants to address these issues to increase productivity and make the company more attractive to talent. However, the senior leadership team is hesitant to change the existing system and there is fatigue from previous change initiatives. The HR team must make a strong business case for how improving the hybrid model can benefit the company and gain staff support for the proposed changes.

3. NEEDS ANALYSIS
Needs Analysis
Employees are exposed to a variety of different cultures daily. The employees associate with
customers and coworkers with various personalities, beliefs and sexual orientations where they
may encounter conflict. Diversity training should be offered to assist employees with various
issues they may encounter daily (Arellano, 2009). Diversity training brings the awareness of
work place sensitivity and the differences between cultures, sexuality, bias, and discrimination.
The recommendation and solution is to embrace globalization as it continues to grow, and
implement an effective online diversity training program within the company. It is important for
companies to employee individuals from different cultures and Implement a positive aspect to
their overall image in the business world. The cost of bringing in an online diversity awareness
training program will be repaid as the company's good reputation grows in recognition from their
employees and consumers (Bell & Kravitz 2008).
4. INSTRUCTIONAL GOAL
The online diversity program, offers
and introduces resources for
employees to use new positive
scenarios and online lessons to
make learners aware of the proper
way to deal with conflicts in three
ways: how to cope emotionally
within yourself with conflicts caused
by diversity issues, how to cope
with emotional issues caused by
diversity with other coworkers,
clients, and resources on how to
diffuse a situation before conflict
begins.
The goal of the online class is to
teach cultural facts, positivity,
respect and tolerances to preserve
work place relationships (Walter
2013).
The online learning sessions will offer
an interactive role-playing scenarios,
short tutorials, and videos that will be
introduced with customized issues,
set in specific demographics, and
biases of the specific origins. This
type of scenario will teach needed
skills to increase respect in a healthy
working environment.
Each session will offer the employees
a chance to fill out a survey and a
question and answer session, online
written journal or blog encouraging
the employees to openly write about
the role playing scenarios so other
employees and facilitator can
respond and share their thoughts
(Immen,2009)
5. ASSESMENT
All employees each year will take a series of
online classes. Students will be able to
elaborate with a facilitator based guided online
class that is related to their life situations, work
environment, learning environment and online
course models.
