The author attended the Yanshuei Firework Festival in Taiwan. Before the fireworks started, a group worshipped a statue of Guan Yu and then removed it. The crowd was then instructed to hop up and down when the fireworks began to avoid being burned. When the first "beehive" was lit, rockets exploded in all directions and collided with the author's helmet and body. Although it was over quickly, the constant buzzing of fireworks in the sky made it feel longer. After the intense display, they had small burns and cuts from being hit but felt it was a great adventure.
