(13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,
being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every
one that hangeth on a tree:
(14) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the
Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the
promise of the Spirit through faith.
(15) Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it
be but a man's COVENANT, yet if it be confirmed, no
man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by
[Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the
Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is
crucified); [Deut. 21:23.]
(14)To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus,
the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon
the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive

advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and your
father's house, to the land that I will show you. [Heb. 11:8-10.]
(2) And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with
abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and
distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].
(3) And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or
happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language
toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be
blessed [and by you they will bless themselves]. [Gal. 3:8.]

your descendants also be counted. [Gen. 28:14.]
• (17) Arise, walk through the land, the length of it and the breadth
of it, for I will give it to you.

the oaks or terebinths of Mamre, which are at Hebron, and built

Circumcision, [itself a mere mark] in the flesh made by human hands.
(12) [Remember] that you were at that time separated (living apart) from
Christ [excluded from all part in Him], utterly estranged and outlawed from
the rights of Israel as a nation, and strangers with no share in the sacred
compacts of the [Messianic] promise [with no knowledge of or right in God's
agreements, His COVENANTS]. And you had no hope (no promise); you were
in the world without God.
(13) But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were [so] far away, through (by, in)
the blood of Christ have been brought near.
(14) For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has
made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down

(10) Let it be known and understood by all of you, and by the whole house of
Israel, that in the name and through the power and authority of Jesus Christ
of Nazareth, Whom you crucified, [but] Whom God raised from the dead, in
Him and by means of Him this man is standing here before you well and

8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled
Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death,
even death [a]on a cross. 9 For this reason also, God
highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name
which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of
Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven
and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every
tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of
God the Father.
