Unfortunately, some users using this feature do it for cybercrime. The use of this feature is to minimize the discovery of digital evidence. The standard investigative techniques of NIST need to be developed to uncover an ever-varied cybercrime. Live Forensics is an investigative development model for obtaining evidence of computer usage. This research provides a solution in forensic investigation effectively and efficiently by using live forensics. This paper proposes a framework for web browser analysis. Live Forensics allows investigators to obtain data from RAM that contains computer usage sessions.

When thinking of modern attacks, the web browser is still one of the top delivery vehicles. Whether it’s displaying an email or facilitating a link-redirection or merely serving a web page, browsers aid in the attack process. Despite their popularity, many companies focus their efforts defending the operating system, inspecting the network or attempting to keep up with threats through delivered feeds.
In order for any tool to gain adoption, it not only has to be useful, but also needs to easily fit into a user’s workflow. Using native browser interfaces, we’ve created a set of open source browser extensions that not only detect malicious activity, but block it entirely. More importantly, this functionality is delivered in a one-click package and doesn’t require any technical knowledge in order to successfully function. Users are able to take advantage of hosted repositories of data or run their own data node and updates are automatic.
This presentation will introduce the browser extension details, highlight how they function and inform users how they could take advantage of this functionality in their organization. No security solution is perfect, but bringing blocking capabilities to the browser without requiring any user change guarantees even the least technical of users can be protected. Originally developed with non-profit and smaller businesses in mind, these security browser extensions can bring peace of mind to any size organization, free of charge.

Online Social Network (OSN) sites act as a medium to spread their own views, activities and their thoughts to some camaraderie. Contents of this network are spread over web, so it was hard to determine by a human decision. Currently, they do not provide any mechanism to ensure privacy concerns towards data associated with each user. Due to this problem, number of users lacks from their ownership control. In this paper, we proposed AC2P (Activity Control-Access Control Protocol) for information control on the web. Alternatively, Tag Refinement strategy determines illegal tagging over images and send notification about particular image spread within different communities/groups. These techniques reduce risk of information flow and avoid unwanted tagging toward images.
Capsule Computing: Safe Open Science
Open science is yielding active efforts to make data from research available for broader use. But data have restrictions on them (privacy, sensitivity restrictions; regulated by statute or otherwise) that can limit their ability to be made available more broadly. In this talk we offer that there are alternate approaches to the spectrum of data sharing options that offers more control over data than full sharing yet are more contributory than no sharing at all. We offer the controlled compute environment, or capsule, as a viable new approach for computational analysis of data that have restrictions. The compute environment increases the range of possibilities for facilitating science through data reuse, an objective of open science. This talk frames the capsule, and provides experience based on one such capsule used in HathiTrust for research with copyrighted materials.

The project “empoWering prIvacy and securiTy in non-trusteD envirOnMents” (WITDOM for short) is a three-year multi-disciplinary, Research and Innovation Action co-funded by the European Commission in the context of Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
WITDOM aims at protecting the privacy and security of data outsourced to untrusted ICT providers, such as clouds. By protecting sensitive data cryptographically and by applying the privacy-by-design paradigms, WITDOM will provide a holistic framework that addresses end-to-end security for sensitive data. Online Social Network (OSN) sites act as a medium to spread their own views, activities and their thoughts to some camaraderie. Contents of this network are spread over web, so it was hard to determine by a human decision. Currently, they do not provide any mechanism to ensure privacy concerns towards data associated with each user. Due to this problem, number of users lacks from their ownership control. In this paper, we proposed AC2P (Activity Control-Access Control Protocol) for information control on the web. Alternatively, Tag Refinement strategy determines illegal tagging over images and send notification about particular image spread within different communities/groups. These techniques reduce risk of information flow and avoid unwanted tagging toward images.
Capsule Computing: Safe Open Science
Open science is yielding active efforts to make data from research available for broader use. But data have restrictions on them (privacy, sensitivity restrictions; regulated by statute or otherwise) that can limit their ability to be made available more broadly. In this talk we offer that there are alternate approaches to the spectrum of data sharing options that offers more control over data than full sharing yet are more contributory than no sharing at all. We offer the controlled compute environment, or capsule, as a viable new approach for computational analysis of data that have restrictions. The compute environment increases the range of possibilities for facilitating science through data reuse, an objective of open science. This talk frames the capsule, and provides experience based on one such capsule used in HathiTrust for research with copyrighted materials.

The project “empoWering prIvacy and securiTy in non-trusteD envirOnMents” (WITDOM for short) is a three-year multi-disciplinary, Research and Innovation Action co-funded by the European Commission in the context of Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
WITDOM aims at protecting the privacy and security of data outsourced to untrusted ICT providers, such as clouds. By protecting sensitive data cryptographically and by applying the privacy-by-design paradigms, WITDOM will provide a holistic framework that addresses end-to-end security for sensitive data.
