within our community through hands-on experiences, workshops, and design in action initiatives.

A free monthly event that gives attendees
the chance to peek into sketchbooks of
some of our favorite local illustrators.
There are no rules, no themes —
just drawing and friends.

5. sketchXchange with Jessica Hische coming in the Spring
Jessica Hische is a letterer, illustrator, and crazy cat lady known for her silly
side projects and occasional foul mouth.

Workshops
Hands-on events with a variety of industries from leather working
and screen printing, to chocolate making and laser engraving.
Spark your creativity and learn more about Portland’s talented craftspeople.

8. make.
Design in Action
Our annual Design in Action projects, like Put A Bird In It, are geared toward
giving back to the community and rasing money for arts and music education.
We have raised close to $20,000.00 towards this effort in the last two years.
All promotion was done online and by word of mouth. Our grass roots approach
has gained attention worldwide.

10. WeMake Digital Magazine
We are thrilled to announce the official
launch of WeMake Magazine, a new
publication to connect and celebrate the
Portland creative community.

11. We are happy to support
ICON 8
ICON brings together top illustrators,
designers, educators, representatives,
and art buyers to explore The Future
of Illustration.
Over 40 Illustrators, Designers, Art
Directors, Educators, Reps, Publishers,
and Makers will inform and entertain
you from our main stage.
