Valdres Nature and Culturepark is located in Fagernes, Norway and promotes the region of Valdres. The region includes the municipalities of Nord Aurdal, Sør Aurdal, Etnedal, Vestre Slidre, Øystre Slidre, and Vang. Fagernes serves as the natural center of the valley. The region is known for its mountain farm culture, scenic beauty, and six historic stave churches. Valdres has a high number of second homes, with over 17,000 second homes and 1,400 campers as of the end of 2011.
