The document is a guide for meditating on the 14 Stations of the Cross. It provides a short prayer and reflection for each station, focusing on Jesus' suffering and sacrifice, and lessons for the reader. The reflections encourage embracing crosses to be close to Jesus, detaching from worldly things, and persevering in faith until death. They express sorrow for sins and desire to receive Jesus in the Eucharist and live in union with him. The closing prayer reflects on Jesus' wounds and beseeches him to impress faith, hope, charity and contrition in the reader's heart.

Pray the stations of the cross any time as a way to:
meditate on the life and death of Christ, seeking to,
“ … him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that if possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brethren, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:10-14)

This meditation on the Way of the Cross combines the passion of Jesus as portrayed in the Stations of the Cross, and Jesus’ message from the Gospel of St. Matthew on the last judgment. “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least ones of mine, you did it for me.” Matt. 25:40.
The meaning of this scripture passage is summarized in the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. This Way of the Cross correlates a work of mercy with each Station of the Cross.
A quote from St. Louise de Marillac is included with each station. These meditations on charity and the passion of Jesus were mysteries close to her heart.

Some people find it tedious to pray the rosary because of the repetitive prayers but what the rosary is is a meditation on the lives of Jesus and Mary. Get into the habit of praying the rosary with your kids by showing them these paintings of every mystery as you meditate on each event and its "fruit".
The Holy Mass has Biblical roots. Find out the beautiful historical background behind each part of the Mass. Pope Benedict XVI exhorts us all to know and deepen our relationship with God. There is no greater form of worship than the Holy Mass. We Catholics should make an effort to understand the Mass better in order to appreciate it more and so that we may grow to love it. For our non-Catholic brothers and sisters, please do view this presentation, too. It will help you understand why Catholics do the things we do. Thank you!

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

2. PREPARATORY PRAYER
O most merciful Jesus, with a contrite heart and penitent spirit, I bow down in
profound humility before Thy divine majesty. I adore Thee as my supreme Lord
and Master; I believe in Thee, I hope in Thee, I love Thee above all things. I am
heartily sorry for having offended Thee, my Supreme and Only Good. I resolve
to amend my life, and although I am unworthy to obtain mercy, yet the sight of
Thy holy cross, on which Thou didst die, inspires me with hope and
consolation. I will, therefore, meditate on Thy sufferings, and visit the stations
of Thy Passion in company with Thy sorrowful Mother and my guardian angel,
with the intention of promoting Thy honor and saving my soul.
I desire to gain all the indulgences granted for this holy exercise for myself and
for the Poor Souls in Purgatory. O merciful Redeemer, who has said, "And I, if I
be lifted from earth, will draw all things to Myself," draw my heart and my love
to Thee, that I may perform this devotion as perfectly as possible, and that I
may live and die in union with Thee. Amen.

17. PRAYER TO JESUS CRUCIFIED
Behold O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees
in Your sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul, I pray
and beseech You that You would impress in my heart lively
sentiments of faith, hope, and charity, with true contrition for my
sins and a firm purpose of amendment; while with deep affection
and grief of soul, I ponder within myself and mentally
contemplate Your Five Wounds, having before my eyes the words
which David the Prophet put on Your lips concerning You.
"They have pierced My hands and My feet, they have numbered
all My bones." Amen.
One Our Father and one Hail Mary, at least, should be said for the Roman Pontiff's intentions if
one is seeking to gain an Indulgence.
