Rod Parker discusses the development of the Warwickshire Assembly network from 2006 to 2008. The network conducted a baseline survey, established terms of reference and a logo in 2009. It set up a task and finish group, endorsement of representative roles, and a website and social network. Going forward, the network aims to establish its structure, sign up more networks, appoint a board, and engage statutory and voluntary sector partners. Some lessons learned include appointing an early coordinator, building from the bottom up, ensuring adequate resources, consulting, involving others, and establishing a clear structure early on.
