Bryan Stevenson is the founder of the Equal Justice Initiative, which helps the poor, incarcerated, and those on death row. He wowed his audience with a personal story from his past and devastating facts about injustice. As a lawyer, he has worked to exonerate prisoners on death row and ban life imprisonment without parole for children. His calm demeanor and humble speaking style engaged the audience despite its large size.

I would rate Bryan as a four because of his lack of
voice inflection when moments of expression called for
them.

humbled speaking voice. The
lecture he gave didn’t require
much inflection.

Being honest in what
you do. His
grandmother asked him
in the story to never
drink alcoholic
beverages. So he
didn’t. Throughout the
presentation he moved
the audience through
the content of his
lecture with leading
statements.

facts, to show some
slides of kids
incarcerated would
have hit a home run.

11. Although as a presenter,
you must display
confidence and an even
minded approach, you
do not have to
flamboyant to have the
same effect on your
audience,

style. Where he is the
teacher and the
audience are students.
Give your audience
something they have
never heard of.

used a strange gait
(at least I thought it
was strange) and
comedic style of
capturing and
keeping the
attention of the
audience during the
lecture.

required some form of
