Wales is divided into three regions - North, Mid, and South Wales. The capital is Cardiff and the official language is English, though Welsh is also spoken. Wales has a population of over 3 million people and uses the British Pound. Politically, Wales is represented by 40 Members of Parliament in the UK government and has a First Minister as the head of the Welsh government. The highest point in Wales is Snowdon mountain and there are two national parks, Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire Coast.

Wales is geographically and culturally
divided into three regions:
North Wales
Several holiday resorts located along
the coast, but primarily a rural area with
the highest mountains in the United
Kingdom south of Scotland.
Mid Wales
A sparsely populated region of
mountains, moorlands, forests, wide
river valleys and a coastline facing the
Irish Sea.
South Wales
The South is by far the most urbanised
area. Two-thirds of the population can
be found here, especially in the eastern
half. The western half is rural and
includes some stunning coastal
scenery.

Christianity, with 57.6% of the
population describing
themselves as Christian.

faith in Wales is Roman Catholic,
with an estimated 43,000
