Presentation made during the last 11th Annual Meeting of the OECD LEED Forum on Partnerships and Local Development where local and national leaders, policy makers and practitioners discussed how inclusive growth can be built from the ground up.

Key points
• 1) A growing role – tackling unemployment but
also matching skills supply-demand, facilitating
career transitions and contributing towards quality
job creation
• 2) Best practices need to be better shared
across G20 countries: the PES is becoming more
effective and evidence-based but capacities need to be
built & good practice more widely shared.
• 3) A variety of institutional forms which can be
successful – both national coherence and local
flexibility need to be increased
