HISTORY OF VOLLEYBALL

 In 1895, a German man named, William Morgan decided he
  would rework the rules of a slow paced game called
  “Faustball”.
 At the end of World War 2, The International Volleyball
  Federation (FIVB) was formed.
 The FIVB is now the organizer of the international
  championship to this day.
 Volleyball was accepted into the Olympics in 1964 at the
  Tokyo Olympic Games.
 The FIVB estimates that on this day there are over 500
  million active athletes participating in the sport worldwide.
