2004. Since then the company has enjoyed strong support and
investment from our founding Directors to develop a stable and

   Managing Director Adam Crisp a qualified Cisco Engineer (CCIE)
    with 15 years working in the IT and telecommunications sectors.
   The company is supported by a strong board of directors with an
    average of more than 20 years of experience at the Chief
    Executive and Managing Director level of telecoms companies in
    Europe and Russia, with revenues up to $10 bn per year
   VoIP.co.uk has no external debt
   The current focus of the company is to replace existing ISDN (PRI
    & BRI) to PBXs with reliable, secure, resilient and cost effective
    VoIP links
   Full interoperability tested with most major PBX vendors
   One point of contact, no further charges from or involvement
    with BT
   VoIP.co.uk works through our team of partners and does not sell
    direct to end users
   Our platform has been custom developed by VoIP.co.uk and as
    such we can make an changes we need or fault find very quickly.
    Other SIP providers buy off the shelf equipment and as such
    have problems with support with unknown issues as the
    manufacturers have to fault find for them.

   We monitor for toll fraud 24x7 within our network. This protects
    our customers from running up large bills from fraud. Our
    platform will tell us straight away if unusual activity is noticed
    and we will act on it. Other SIP providers cannot do this and as a
    result customers are exposed to larger bills as a result.

   Our direct access circuits allow us to offer a true ISDN
    replacement product. We have heavily invested in this
    technology and this puts our voice network ahead of most other
    providers.

VoIP.co.uk supports Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure RTP
(SRTP) protocols for encrypting both SIP messages and RTP (the
media stream) between your IP-PBX platform and VoIP.co.uk.

Theses two protocols provide protection from eavesdropping,
wiretapping and privacy issues. Also and more importantly it is fully
compliant with PCI regulations for calls passing over a public
network e.g. the internet.

With PCI regulations now starting to enforce security of calls on a
public network TLS and SRTP will become very important. The
majority of businesses take card payments of some sort or another.
This means that they will need to use encryption on these calls if
they pass over a public network.

   In 2004 a study was made by Adam Crisp into carrier grade VoIP
    switches, this study found at the time there was not a product
    suitable for VoIP.co.uk requirements.

   A decision was made to write a specification document for a
    switch and then hire a team of developers to develop it. The
    outcome of this was a £1,500,000 investment and two years of
    work.

   VoIP.co.uk now benefit from a 99.999% rated carrier grade switch

   Developers still work in house for VoIP.co.uk allowing us to make
    changes rapidly to our switch to allow either bug fixes or new
    features

   Our platform rates calls in real-time an thus it allow us to have
    accurate fraud prevention

   Platform is connected to upstream carriers via ISDN E1
    connections

   Platform and SIP trunks support T.38 Fax codex
VoIP.co.uk can route incoming calls for Contact Centres to
   multiple world wide end points. We can do this on a
    percentage weighting, time of day and is real-time
               changeable by the end user.

Also and more importantly it is fully compliant with PCI regulations for calls passing over a public network e.g. the internet.
