The Veterans Listening Post (VLP) is a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that recognizes that
listening is one of the most transformative positive ways ofsupport for our veterans and military. VLP has developed
many programs to enhance this process, such as on-the-ground teams of listeners to recognize and support veterans and
military in person. The life changing Ten-Session Listening Program transforms both the teller and listener with
positive-centered outcomes that last a lifetime.VLP’s real-time phone communication through an answering service
platform and website for tellers and listeners supports veterans, military and civilian’s right here, right now.
The Veterans Listening Course is a ten-step curriculum that is structured in the Art of Listening. This process is called
the Steady State Story Process. The Steady State Story process is a reliable building-block method that is put into
practice though retelling and listening to positive, turnaround, uplifting stories.
Course participants attend sessions which include class-work, homework and field-work. The course focuses on both
veterans and military. However,it is also a universal course with positive lifelong benefits for civilians who are interested
in participating.
