This document summarizes the work of the Veterans Experience Office over one year to improve services and experiences for Veterans and the VA. Through extensive research including over 150 interviews with Veterans, they developed tools to better understand Veterans' journeys. These include a research report, an overview map of a Veteran's life journey, and deeper "journey maps" of specific experiences. These tools help identify gaps and opportunities in VA services at important moments for Veterans. The office also worked to empower VA employees through improved training and customer service. If continued, this focus on Veterans' needs could help make VA the top customer service agency.
