This document summarizes Microsoft's licensing options for Visual Studio 2010 developer tools. It describes the different Visual Studio client applications like Professional, Premium, and Ultimate and whether they include additional tools when purchased with an MSDN subscription. It also outlines the Visual Studio server products like Team Foundation Server and licensing requirements. MSDN subscriptions provide additional benefits for development and testing when bundled with Visual Studio. Technical support, cloud services, and prior versions of software are included at different levels based on the subscription purchased.
The Newest of the New with Visual Studio and TFS 2012Imaginet
By itself, Visual Studio 2012 included many compelling new features not available in prior releases. But Microsoft hasn’t stopped. Since the production release in August 2012, Microsoft has continued to release more new capabilities. In this session we’ll walk through some of the latest and greatest enhancements that you can use in your Visual Studio and TFS 2012 environment.
Build Applications on the Microsoft Platform Using Eclipse, Java, Ruby and PHP!goodfriday
Come hear how Microsoft has delivered multiple technologies that focus on interoperability with non-Microsoft and Open Source technologies. Learn how to use the Eclipse tools today to build Silverlight applications that run on PCs and Macs, how to develop using combinations of Java, Ruby and PHP in addition to the standard Microsoft languages, and how Microsoft's commitment to openness with the Azure Services Platform and the use of claims-based identity supports heterogeneous identity systems.
David Coletta Architecting A Shared Codebase For Browser And Desktop Finaldcoletta
Learn from our experience in adapting a complex codebase like the application Buzzword to run also as an Adobe AIR application. This session addresses the architectural challenges of developing SWF files to be shared between browser and AIR versions. We’ll cover user interface considerations, such as reconciling a single browser window with multiple AIR windows, and technical issues, like problems with the Singleton pattern when using multiple native windows. Other topics include abstracting code that must call AIR only APIs and packaging code into modules that load over HTTP for browsers and load from the file system under AIR.
AD201 - IBM Domino Application Development Today And Tomorrowpjanzen11
The past several years have provided developers with a multitude of new capabilities for building IBM Domino applications and 2013 was no different. Come hear about the latest enhancements in Domino and Domino Designer 9.x that further strengthen the RADD value proposition. We will share new features for building web and mobile web applications with XPages, improvements for making your applications social as well as what's new in APIs. You will also hear what's available for running your applications in the IBM cloud. There will be plenty of demos to whet your appetite and we will round it out with some of our plans for the future.

Create software builds with jazz team buildBill Duncan
A guide to using the Jazz Team Build feature in Rational Team Concert
Veena H. Balakrishnaiah (veena.balakrishna@in.ibm.com), Build and Release Engineer, IBM
Summary: Veena H. Balakrishnaiah gives an overview of how to configure source control and Jazz Team Build components of Rational Team Concert to define and manage your build. Jazz builds run against files that come from a designated build repository workspace and include traceability between change sets and work items. Jazz Team Builds provide support for the automation, monitoring, and awareness of a team's regular builds.

Ad103 - Have it Your Way: Extending IBM Lotus Domino Designerddrschiw
With release 8.5.1, the new Lotus Domino Designer Extension API supports custom extensions to operate on selections of design elements. We'll details several sample applications; 1) validate references to views, forms, etc in XPages and Custom controls, 2) re-factoring tool to rename a design element and update references, 3) synchronize files between NSF and local file system (stylesheets, etc) and 4) select a form, create view with all fields from the form. We'll provide boilerplate code for common types of plugins, so you can just add your own code. You'll see how
to control whether your extension is visible/enabled based on selection contents - visit openntf.org for more! After attending this session, you can make your own contributions!
In this session, you'll learn techniques for extending your IBM Websphere Portal to mobile applications across iOS and Android devices. Experts from our User Experience team will demonstrate how to easily build IBM Worklight applications that integrate with personalization and web content features provided by Portal. You'll see how to use tools such as IBM Web Experience Factory and IBM Web Content Manager and how to leverage capabilities such as Portlet Services and mobile themes to develop a mobile application running on IBM Worklight in both online and offline modes. At the end of this session, you will be ready to take advantage of the IBM Worklight entitlement provided by IBM to take your Portal to the mobile world!

Visual Studio 2015 and MSDN Licensing Whitepaper - November 2015David J Rosenthal
Updated November 2015
Visual Studio 2015 provides a rich, integrated development environment for creating stunning applications for Windows,
Android, and iOS, as well as modern web applications and cloud services. Visual Studio 2015 also provides a
comprehensive, highly flexible set of application lifecycle management (ALM) tools. Team Foundation Server 2015 has
added important capabilities like Agile Project Portfolio Management, a major overhaul to the TFS build system including
a cross-platform build agent, and Release Management capabilities enabling continuous delivery of your applications.
Visual Studio subscriptions offer customers high-value subscriber benefits such as development/test use rights for
Microsoft platform software like SQL Server/Windows/Windows Server, monthly Microsoft Azure credits, a developer
account for publishing apps to the Windows Store and an O365 Developer subscription.
The remainder of this paper provides an overview of the Visual Studio product line and the licensing requirements for
those products in common deployment scenarios. If you’re a volume licensing customer, the definitive guide to licensing
terms and conditions is the Microsoft Licensing Product Terms and your licensing program agreement. For retail
customers the license terms are specified in the Retail Software License Terms included with your product

Build Your Mobile App Faster with AWS Mobile Services (Cognito, Lambda, SNS, ...Amazon Web Services
Build powerful mobile applications using AWS Mobile Services. For the first time, we will discuss how mobile developers can leverage the new cross-platform AWS Mobile Services that we announced today. How they can authenticate and authorize their users using Amazon Cognito, user identity and data synchronization service. We will discuss how Amazon Mobile Analytics service collects, visualizes and understand your mobile app usage at scale, All this is available as a single unified and mobile-optimized easy-to-use SDK so developers can access these new services (and other services like S3, DynamoDB) with just a few lines of code on the client and without the need of owning backend servers. - http://aws.amazon.com/mobile
