Claude Ezran founded the annual Palo Alto World Music Day festival with the bold vision of bringing diverse musical performances to the community. He recruited partners and sponsors, developed a detailed plan, and led a team of volunteers to organize the first successful event. For five consecutive years, the festival has drawn 50 musical groups and 200 musicians to perform for free, attracted crowds of 20,000 people through social media, PR and advertising, and closed off the city's main street to traffic - all for a budget of only $1,000.
