certifications and a training, while others can start with a
simple internship. Going to college is something that is
possible for every high school graduate and so are other
certification and training programs. There are many forks in
the road, all leading down fulfilling career paths. Our goal is to
spark your curiosity and present you with possible options so
that you have the necessary knowledge to make informed
decisions about your future.
Please explore the different careers we have included in the
Story Book. We have information about each career included
on the individual slides with accompanying links to a video of
a local Norwich businessperson discussing the career in detail.

Bank tellers are responsible for handling customer
financial transactions like deposits, withdrawals, transfers,
money orders, and checking. A bank teller's duties also
may include counting cash, answering phones, filing
deposit slips and paperwork, managing ATM deposits,
and balancing numbers at the end of the day.

4. COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVER

Truck drivers earn a living driving a truck, transporting goods
and materials over land. They typically go to and from retail
and distributions centers or manufacturing plants, working
any hours of the day or night.

MARKETER

Brand managers are responsible for monitoring market trends and
performing competitive analysis to make sure that the products and
services of their brands stay relevant to current and potential
customers.
Digital marketers oversee driving brand awareness and lead
generation through all the digital channels -- both free and paid -- that
are at a company's disposal. These channels include social media, the
company's own website, search engine rankings, email, display
advertising, and the company's blog.

DESIGNER

A Web Developer is responsible for the coding, design and layout of
a website according to a company's specifications. As the role takes
into consideration user experience and function, a certain level of
both graphic design and computer programming is necessary.
Graphic designers create visual concepts, using computer software
or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and
captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and
production design for applications such as advertisements,
brochures, magazines, and reports.
