This document provides tips and examples for Vincentians on collaborating to help eliminate poverty in their communities. Some of the key tips include knowing your strengths and weaknesses to collaborate in areas where others have more experience, building on existing partnerships, and starting collaboration efforts locally within parishes and neighboring conferences. Examples described a youth group that formed an ecumenical partnership and national advocacy efforts led by Vincentian leaders co-signing letters. Guidelines note the Vincentian board must speak for the Society and efforts cannot support policies counter to Church teaching. Reflection questions discuss whether collaboration allows accomplishing more and the goals of collaboration beyond just serving more people.
