The document outlines a six phase military transition process presented by Cesar Nader. Phase 1 involves creating a transition checklist 24-18 months prior to separation. Phase 2 is developing a transition plan 18-12 months out to determine goals, career paths, and a roadmap. Phase 3 covers creating a transition roadmap 12-9 months out. Phase 4 involves transition training 9-6 months out to prepare for employment, education, entrepreneurship or other paths. Phase 5 consists of mentorship 6-3 months out to network and connect. The final phase is transition execution 90-30 days out to implement the plan.
What Every Project Manager Should Know About ItilDaniel Cayouette
This presentation will provide a high-level view of ITIL and will identify where the ITIL Service Lifecycle Framework and the PMBOK Guide complement each other.
Understanding of ITIL will help the IT project manager over the lifecycle of their projects, from defining a better project charter focused on IT services to a smoother transition to operations and an increased satisfaction of all stakeholders.
The role of an IT PMO as the Voice of IT and its role with Service Level Management will also be discussed as a key enabler to align IT to the business.
UX, ethnography and possibilities: for Libraries, Museums and ArchivesNed Potter
These slides are adapted from a talk I gave at the Welsh Government's Marketing Awards for the LAM sector, in 2017.
It offers a primer on UX - User Experience - and how ethnography and design might be used in the library, archive and museum worlds to better understand our users. All good marketing starts with audience insight.
The presentation covers the following:
1) An introduction to UX
2) Ethnography, with definitions and examples of 7 ethnographic techniques
3) User-centred design and Design Thinking
4) Examples of UX-led changes made at institutions in the UK and Scandinavia
5) Next Steps - if you'd like to try out UX at your own organisation

The Military Veteran Transition Program (Holistic Approach)Cesar Nader
I new and more effective approach to transitioning out of the military into a successful second career. Not all programs are created equal. More importantly, most programs don't address the complexity of the military transition in a holistic approach. Most leave or family members, overseas opportunities, financial assessments and the true categories of each path to a second career. Our program is effective with anyone, in any stage of the their transition and adapts to the needs of each individual.
The most difficult part of any initiative is the behavior change it calls for, and RBQM is no exception. The implementation of RBQM without a implementation plan is just a wish.
To achieve their organizational goals, successful research organizations have figured out how to navigate change management. No matter the type of project or initiative, these companies treat any kind of plan execution with a change management mindset.

KANBAN AT SCALE: A SIEMENS HEALTH SERVICES CASE STUDY (BENNET VALLET & DAN VA...Lean Kanban Central Europe
This presentation will describe the approach taken for one of the world’s largest Kanban implementations at Siemens Health Services. It will describe how Kanban augmented existing agile practices there, and it will examine the achieved benefits of “flow” as demonstrated by real project data. Through a careful consideration of successes, challenges, and ongoing opportunities, this case study should be very meaningful to software product/development management organizations of any size whose funding, business operations, and profitability are dependent upon achieving a high degree of operational efficiency, transparency, and predictability.
Succeeding with Agile against the odds at Australia's Central BankRowan Bunning
If you were asked to name the sort of organisation at which Agile transformation is most difficult, what would you pick? Government? Banks perhaps? How about an organisation that is both? Is it even possible for a Government Bank to transition an in-flight program to a thriving Agile capability?
In this session we describe how the Reserve Bank of Australia has demonstrated that it is possible to be successful with Agile in an organisational environment in which such a way of working is very foreign. This is the story of transitioning to Scrum and Behaviour Driven Development some months into the bank's largest ever program of work focused on redevelopment of the Banking Departments core banking systems. We outline how we got from test-last waterfall to full Scrum within 3 months, to full-team BDD in 4 months and to a strong collaboration and cultivation culture in 5 months. We describe the key conditions for such an effort to succeed and what we learned along the way.
What is Task Cycle and How to View in Orangescrum.pdfOrangescrum
Task cycle is a key performance metric used in project management to measure the time taken to complete a specific task or process. It provides valuable insights into the efficiency and effectiveness of project management processes, allowing you to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
