It brings into focus; the nature and also topics from the field of Indo-Anglian and
Commonwealth literature.
About Author :
Dr. Sujit Bose, who has a doctorate from Jadavpur University (Kolkata), was awarded a
research grant by the University Grants Commission. He went to the Commonwealth Institute
(London) as a Nuffield Commonwealth Fellow. In addition to teaching English at St. Xavier’s
College. Ranchi, Dr. Bose also writes articles and short stories. He has published, Attitude to
Imperialism: Kipling, Forster and Paul Scott. His other publications are: Essays on Anglo-
Indian Fiction, Two Bengali Poets, Talking of Literature, Michael : His English Literature,
Essays on Anglo-Indian Literature and Flowers of the Soul. The author has given talks on
several Literary and non-literary subjects over All India Radio, Ranchi. He has been awarded a

2. prize for excellence in human interest journalism by Ranchi Express, a Hindi daily published
from Ranchi.
